In this role, you'll be responsible for daily cleaning and restocking throughout the hospital and its facilities, following the standards set by our Environmental Services and Infection Prevention and Control departments.
These positions do require an every-other-weekend commitment as part of our regular scheduling.

Qualifications
Education:

Responsibilities
Understands how soiling occurs and the difference between soluble and insoluble soils, and the cleaning process involved.
Maintains a clean, stocked, and organized cleaning cart and Environmental Services closet per department policy.
Knowledgeable about the specific use of Environmental Services chemicals and their dilution rates.
Performs dust mopping and wet/microfiber mopping on hard surface floors.
Vacuums carpeted areas using an upright vacuum cleaner.
Handles and disposes of all waste streams, including regulated waste in the hospital.
Cleans and handles intravenous pumps (IV or Sigma Smart Pumps).
Cleans in-patient rooms daily.
Implements A.I.D.E.T. (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You) and Greet and Feet techniques, understanding their impact on patient surveys.
Performs discharge and transfer cleaning in both in-patient and out-patient settings.
Follows isolation cleaning procedures, using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsible for cleaning offices, conference rooms, and furniture arrangement.
Proficient in cleaning procedures for laboratory settings.
Routinely cleans public and non-public restrooms and locker rooms.
Conducts between-case and terminal cleaning in special procedure areas.
Cleans the pharmacy clean (IV) room.
Reports facility repair issues (e.g., wall patching, ceiling tiles, leaks) to leadership and submits work orders as needed.
Maintains all equipment (cleaning carts, vacuums, pagers) following department guidelines.
Performs general maintenance of hard and soft flooring.
Adheres to safety procedures with chemicals and equipment use; reports discrepancies.
Reports injuries to leadership and submits appropriate injury reports.
Completes all duties proficiently and within designated time frames.
Participates in required training, meetings, and completes annual learning modules on time.
Familiar with departmental policies and procedures, monitoring communication boards.
Performs other related work as required or requested.

Maintain compliance with air emissions standards through data collection, tracking and updating the Air Emissions Spreadsheet as well as verifying compliance with Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engine (RICE). Support EHS Manager in completing annual Air Emissions Reporting.
Maintain compliance with Wastewater requirements by collecting wastewater samples, tracking wastewater discharge, reporting discharges to POTW.
Maintain compliance with Storm Water/SPCC requirements by conducting SPCC/SWPPP inspections, conducting storm water inspections of outfalls, coordinate sump and pit inspections, submit required annual reports to regulatory agencies.
Maintain compliance with hazardous waste, universal waste, used oil and recycling requirements by conducting weekly/monthly required inspections, sampling, tracking and arranging timely off-site disposal.
Maintain compliance with SARA by conducting annual chemical inventory, tracking and completing annual Tier II reporting and other applicable recordkeeping, as required.
Maintain compliance with asbestos requirements through annual ACM/PCM inspections, maintains the Asbestos Operations and Maintenance Plan, and conducts required environmental employee training.
Leads and/or assists in the mailings/correspondence to the various regulatory agencies.
Assist with the EHS on-boarding process for new hires.
Serves as a backup to the EHS Manager when not available.
Assists in injury, near miss, and fire investigation.
Assists in the implementation of EHS incentive programs.
Participates and/or facilitates the plant's EHS Committees.
Leads and/or assists in conducting EHS related audits. (ASATs, etc.)
Performs other tasks as directed by the EHS Manager.

This position will be located within USDA Service Centers and will provide conservation technical assistance and conservation program within their assigned districts. The biologist will work in joint capacity with NRCS, IDNR, and other partners to promote, accelerate enrollment, coordinate, and implement the conservation provisions of the Federal Farm Bill and other related wildlife conservation programs. Job Duties:

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with landowners and partner agency staff.
Ability to work independently with little supervision and with diverse clientele.
Knowledge of wildlife ecology, grassland, wetland and early succession habitat management including the ability to utilize various habitat management tools in the development of management plans. Specific knowledge of grassland/farmland associated wildlife species' habitat requirements is desirable.
Strong background in prescribed fire, both implementation and education.
Knowledge of conservation and wildlife programs provided by federal Farm Bill (WRP, CRP, SAFE, EQIP, CSP, etc.), other state, & local entities. In addition, knowledge of how these programs are implemented in an agricultural landscape is desired.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and ArcGIS is required.

What You Will Do:

Read and interpret shop orders.
Monitor the extrusion process including temperature awareness

Provide technical assistance (wildlife habitat focus) and guidance to private landowners, government agencies, non-government organizations and other groups primarily through federal Farm Bill programs. Training is provided jointly by NRCS and PFQF.
Communicate program requirements, complete site visits to determine eligibility, and develop contract documents for applicants and participants of Farm Bill conservation programs and other local and state programs.
Review plans and specifications for feasibility for implementation under Farm Bill program contract rules, etc.
Specific activities for CRP may include evaluations and conservation planning for new and re-enrolled contracts, mid-contract management and maintenance evaluations and recommendations, and status reviews.
Provide on-site landowner technical assistance for conservation practice implementation.
Coordinate and conduct training sessions which include workshops and tours for landowners and resource professionals.
Work with local PF/QF chapters to assist with habitat program education and outreach and provide technical assistance for habitat projects.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with landowners and partner agency staff.
Ability to work independently with little supervision and with diverse clientele.
Knowledge of wildlife ecology, grassland, wetland and early succession habitat management including the ability to utilize various habitat management tools in the development of management plans. Specific knowledge of grassland/farmland associated wildlife species' habitat requirements is desirable.
Strong background in prescribed fire, both implementation and education.
Knowledge of conservation and wildlife programs provided by federal Farm Bill (WRP, CRP, SAFE, EQIP, CSP, etc.), other state, & local entities. In addition, knowledge of how these programs are implemented in an agricultural landscape is desired.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and ArcGIS is required.
Valid driver's license required; use of personal vehicle required with a mileage reimbursement provided.
Must be able to obtain USDA Federal Security Clearance.
Education and Experience Preferred: Any combination of training and/or experience that will enable the applicant to possess the required knowledge, skills and abilities. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Wildlife Management or closely related natural resources field is required. Proven experience working with USDA Farm Bill programs is preferred. The ideal candidate will exhibit a balance of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills required to implement voluntary conservation programs on private lands. Practical and/or professional experience in farming and agricultural disciplines is highly beneficial. The successful applicant must enjoy working with private landowners and producers to achieve their conservation objectives.
