Seeks assistance when in doubt. * Responsible for properly mixing and storing chemicals to achieve correct dilution ratio. Uses proper personal protective equipment including safety goggles when needed. Reads directions carefully and asks supervisor when in doubt. Uses wet floor signs, etc. to block off work area. * Makes beds in accordance with specific area needs. Is knowledgeable and can identify various bed types. Utilizes bed tracking phone/pager, places bed in EPIC and removes when bed has been completed. Responds to phone/pager call from supervisor within 5 minutes. Reports phone/pager problems to supervisor. Logs out of EPIC. Ensures dismissal rooms are ready for the next patient. Uses Xenex UV Light robot for specified rooms where available. * Returns soiled and clean unused mops to department and places in proper containers/areas. * Adheres to all applicable regulations and standards. * Adheres to proper handling, transport and disposal of all waste types, including but not limited to: hazardous, infectious, sharps, confidential, recycling, regular trash, universal. Complete DOT Certification in order to package and transport regulated medical waste. Asks supervisor or lead when in doubt. Education and Experience High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
