Summary
Position Highlights:
Under the direction of an Environmental Services Supervisor, the Environmental Services Technician is responsible for disinfecting areas to reduce the spread of bacteria and infection as well as providing an environment that appears clean, fresh, and polished. This position performs a variety of duties that support the department in maintaining a clean environment for patients and staff.

* Handle and dispose of medical waste and sharps observing all required precautions, including properly tying and labeling bags.
* Use proper chemicals, tools, and equipment for each situation.
* Clean spills containing blood or other potentially infectious material using established infection control, safety, and ES departmental procedures.
* Occasionally may have to travel to off-site locations.
* Complete other duties as assigned.

Position Overview
Global Environmental & Industrial Response is seeking dedicated EnvironmentalTechnicians to join our Environmental Division. Essential Functions
Perform physical labor, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.

Remain available for 24/7 emergency response on a rotating schedule.
Maintain all required training and certifications (DOT, OSHA, and company-specific).

Properly maintain and operate company-issued equipment and tools.

As a key member of the Montrose Environmental Solutions team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Operates field monitoring equipment including but not limited to: PID/FID, pH, EC, DO, GEM, turbidity, water level, LEL meters, trimble (or other geolocating equipment)
Carefully documents monitoring and testing results on field forms and prepares field daily reports and data sheets
Collects samples using a variety of sampling methods
Conducts environmental collection, monitoring, sampling, testing and basic evaluation at various locations
Performs operations and maintenance (O&M) on environmental treatment equipment
Completes Chain-of-Custody forms and labels samples, strictly following regulatory handling and preservation protocols for various sample media and delivers samples to an environmental laboratory
Interacts with clients, presents a professional appearance, and wears appropriate PPE on job sites
Measures and records treatment operational data
Enters monitoring data from the field inspection forms into electronic spreadsheets in Word and/or Excel format
Ensures proper labeling and handling of hazardous material and waste
Communicates promptly with Project Managers to inform of site conditions and activities
Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical system issues or failures
Manages proper disposal for hazardous material and waste.
Maintain confidentiality at all times
Exercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations,
including attendance at all required safety training programs
Participate in the company's continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts

This position provides a wide range of land management and restoration activities in support of the Environmental Lands Acquisition and Protection Program (ELAPP). This position is responsible for maintaining and improving the ecological health, public access, and long-term sustainability of natural preserves and conservation lands. Maintains trails and facilities, controlling invasive species, supporting prescribed fire operations, conducting habitat restoration, and assisting with environmental monitoring and public outreach.
