This Meteorologist position is home-based at our main facility in beautiful Palestine, Texas. Our rural campus offers the ability to work in a low-cost of living area, but within an easy drive of Tyler, Dallas and Houston. You will be part of a team launching balloons from locations within the United States (Texas and New Mexico) and around the world including Antarctica, Sweden, New Zealand, and Australia, during campaigns that last 60-90 days.
* Develop pre-campaign stratospheric wind climatologies, and minimum altitude assessments for use in mission planning using balloon performance analysis.
* Provide weather briefings in support of outside payload compatibility tests and prior to launch attempts.
* Provide pre-launch predicted ascent and float trajectories.
* During launch attempts, provide complete onsite meteorological support for all launch operations, including pilot balloon observations.
* Provide meteorological support during ascent and float phases of launches, including updated precipitation and cloud forecasts and stratospheric wind predictions. Payload descent vectors will be calculated and provided for the termination phase.
* Assemble NASA-required post flight reports after each balloon campaign.
* Maintain inventory of meteorological equipment for campaign support.
* Prepare forecast studies for launch sites and climatology studies for future launch sites.
* Develop forecast techniques and products.
* Perform balloon performance analysis and prediction.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

As a Coordinating Wildlife Biologist, the selected applicant will provide biological/wildlife technical assistance for USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), PF & QF, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD), and/or other local partners to ultimately benefit wildlife conservation and agriculture operations in the area. The selected applicant will have the opportunity to provide technical guidance and learn about a wide variety of topics in this role including soils, range plants, row-crop agriculture, livestock, and wildlife - with a focus on benefitting grassland/upland wildlife and their habitats. This position will be focused on grassland conservation in the Southern Rolling Plains of the Texas Panhandle - helping provide cooperators (farmers, ranchers, hunters, lease holders, etc.…) with technical guidance for their grassland and wildlife conservation goals (esp. as they pertain to upland birds) and technical assistance on applying for programmatic funding opportunities such as Farm Bill programs, Grassland Restoration Incentive Programs and other state and local initiatives. Become familiar with Conservation Programs and partner processes and procedures.
Become familiar with coverage area including landscape, landowner culture, and partnerships.
Conduct outreach to landowners on conservation programs with wildlife focus available in assigned counties including public outreach meetings, targeted mailers, newsletter articles, social media content, etc.
Conduct natural resource surveys.
Provide technical assistance and guidance (wildlife habitat focus) to landowners, government agencies, non-government organizations and others - training opportunities will be available through the NRCS, PF & QF, and other organizations.

After receiving your instructions from dispatch, the night before, you arrive to Company yard in San Antonio, TX or Client Site, clock in and:
Prepare, test equipment, and stock your industrial unit with ALL supplies and PPE youll need for the day.
Check in and review your daily agenda, task goals, and project Safety Plan with your Project Supervisor and / or Project Manager.
Safely mobilize to job site, set up a tidy work zone and don proper PPE to advance with project assignment.
Work with industrial power washers (4,000 - 40,000 psi) and supported vacuum equipment (Vac Trucks, Hydro Vacs, Porta-Vacs, Pumps, etc.) to clean pits, sumps, tanks/tankers and trailers.
Sweep, clean, and/or shovel materials into appropriate waste packaging.
Operate a forklift, aerial lift, skid steer, loader or other machinery, as needed.
Ensure the work area is safe at all times and that you are always looking out for the safety of your team.
Once complete, clean the work zone and leave it in better condition than when the team arrived. Demobilize back to the company shop.
Rehabilitate your industrial unit by re-stocking supplies, PPE, and small equipment and tools. Sweeping and washing your unit, including your truck, in preparation for the following days tasks. Once inspected by Project Supervisor / Project Manager, you will clock-out and depart for the day.
If scheduled, Remain Prepared for On-Call needs throughout the night.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-secondary degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or related field of study

Professional experience working on projects regulated under NEPA or state-equivalent would be considered an asset
Experience related to utilities construction would be considered an asset

a) Grade Point Average 2.95 or higher out of a possible 4.0 as recorded on your official transcript or as computed based on 4 years of education or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of curriculum; OR 3.45 or higher out of a possible 4.0 based on the average of the required courses completed in your major field or the required courses in your major field completed during the final 2 years of your curriculum.
2. GS-9: You must have completed 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree:

Job Description:
At Regions, the Trust Relationship Specialist provides general and clerical administrative support to an individual in the trust department and/or the trust department as a group, relieving them of clerical, administrative and business detail.
Primary Responsibilities
Responds to routine customer and internal account inquiries, performing necessary research and following up in a timely manner

Responsibilities for the Environmental Services Technician
Ensuring that contaminated waste products are securely stored, and storage areas are always locked.
Cleaning and sanitizing floors, equipment, and furniture according to infection‐control policies.
Dusting furniture, woodwork and equipment and dust‐mops floors. Polishing and cleaning fixtures in rooms and bathrooms. Wet‐mops rooms, halls, and other areas; shampooing rugs and furniture.
Knowing proper use, operation, and care of equipment; reporting any needed repairs and/or safety hazards to manager.
Operating mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, snow blowers, shampooers, and related environmental service equipment.
Cleaning vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, doorframes and other high areas using a ladder.
Gathering and disposing of trash and waste materials using specified bags or containers per established procedures.
Moving furniture and other heavy objects as required.

Prepare required permit applications related to wildlife resources.
Prepare Wildlife Reports to support overall Environmental Assessment and other regulatory applications
Provide strategic guidance on wildlife management, regulatory approvals, and wildlife assessments
Support proposal preparation, including technical scope and cost estimate development.
Provide technical leadership of multiple projects ensuring quality and accuracy of reports and project deliverables
Support other biophysical field assessments (e.g., wetlands, vegetation, aquatics, etc.), when required
Consult and communicate with contractors, subcontractors, regulators, landowners, Indigenous communities and clients, as required
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or related field of study.
Professional designation with the BC College of Applied Biologists or with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists
10+ years of professional experience as a biologist, specializing in wildlife biology, or related role
Experience leading wildlife field surveys in remote settings, reviewing of field data and coordinating with various field teams.
Experience conducting Environmental Assessments for federal and provincially regulated projects
Demonstrated experience leading wildlife-related field studies and implementing species-specific survey methodologies
Experience related to caribou and caribou habitat would be an asset.
