    The EHS Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the Environmental, Health & Safety management system at the Ironton, OH site to ensure compliance with applicable legislation, corporate policies, and Vertiv standards. This position provides first-shift leadership and oversight for the facility's EHS Technicians on second and third shifts, ensuring consistent safety coverage for a 24/7 operation. The EHS Supervisor partners closely with site operations, maintenance, and corporate EHS teams to reduce risk, drive continuous improvement, and support a culture of accountability and engagement in all EHS matters. Responsible for the creation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the occupational health and safety, fire protection, and environmental protection management systems for Vertiv's Ironton facility. This includes developing site-specific programs, conducting training, overseeing audits and inspections, managing incident investigations, and ensuring all operations meet corporate and regulatory standards. The EHS Supervisor plays a key role during the setup and installation of production lines and throughout full production startup to ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient operation. Responsibilities: * EHS Management System Implementation * Develop, maintain, and improve the site EHS management system in accordance with Vertiv and regulatory requirements. Ensure alignment with global EHS standards and ISO frameworks. * Compliance & Auditing * Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations through inspections, recordkeeping, and timely corrective actions. Lead or support internal/external audits with zero major findings. * Supervision & Leadership * Provide direction, guidance, and daily oversight to EHS Technicians on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Coordinate priorities and ensure consistent communication and reporting across all shifts. * Incident Investigation & Reporting * Lead root cause investigations and tracks corrective actions to closure. Develop preventive measures and share lessons learned. * Training & Employee Engagement * Deliver and coordinate employee and contractor EHS training programs. Promote active participation in safety initiatives and recognition programs. * Environmental Management * Manage site environmental programs including waste, emissions, stormwater, and chemical management. Ensure documentation, reporting, and sustainability goals are met. * Emergency Preparedness & Fire Protection * Maintain emergency response plans, oversee fire protection systems, and lead drills to ensure preparedness and compliance. * Decision-Making Responsibilities * Provides operational EHS leadership and makes decisions related to daily safety and environmental management within site boundaries. * Approves risk assessments, work permits, and corrective actions. * Recommends and implements improvements to prevent recurrence of incidents or noncompliance. * Escalates high-risk or regulatory matters to the EHS Manager and corporate leadership. Qualifications : * Bachelor's degree in environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in EHS or a related discipline or 5+ years of experience in EHS or a related discipline, with strong understanding of applicable legislation and OSHA standards. * Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). * Fluent in English (verbal and written). * Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with ability to coach and influence. * Experience in EHS program implementation, audits, and team supervision. * Strong analytical and decision-making ability; able to work independently and cross-functionally. * High level of attention to detail and accuracy. * Physical & Environmental Requirements: * Ability to work in a manufacturing and production environment (standing, walking, climbing, moderate lifting). * Logical thinking, organization, and problem-solving ability. * Team-oriented with a positive attitude, resilience, and goal focus. * Comfortable engaging with all levels of employees and contractors.
