Additionally, this position may occasionally be required to assist at the nearby Kiln, Moss Point or Airport Compressor Stations and will be trained and expected to learn to operate and assist at the facility. The facilities consist of reciprocating natural gas fired Caterpillar engines, natural gas fired turbine engines and associated compressor units. This position will be responsible for recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety related operating conditions, accident and near miss reporting, as well as emergency response (HAZWOPER). This position is also responsible for regulatory compliance, operations, maintenance, and repair procedures as associated with DOT, industry standards, manufacturer, and company guidelines as they relate to facility equipment and appurtenances. This position will be expected to respond to call-outs and will be part of the on-call rotation related to pipeline operations and for responding to emergency or abnormal situations. The successful candidate will be required to live within 30 miles of the Gulfport Operations office located in Gulfport, MS. in order to respond to call outs expediently. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: Valid driver's license with a good driving record 1 to 5 years of gas pipeline operations and maintenance experience or equivalent petrochemical / oil industry experience.
