Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1st Responsibility - Ensuring personal safety and the safety of your team members.
Assists supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Wear appropriate PPE which may include fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing protection, foot, hand, head and eye protection.
Uses proper lifting and ergo techniques.
Reads work orders or receives oral instructions to determine work assignments, material or equipment needs.
Maintains cleanliness of the machining and assembly areas.
Empties trash and chip barrels
Monitors and cleans coolant tanks and sumps.
Uses a push broom, sweeps dust and debris from assigned areas and discards into receptacle bins.
Operate tow motor, skid steer, sweeper and related moving equipment to transport waste and product.
Notifies supervisor of errors or equipment stoppage.
Fills container such as oil can, grease gun, or tank of lubrication truck with specified lubricant.
Pours oil on moving parts and friction surfaces, or into holes, oil cups, or reservoirs.
Turns oil cup valves to regulate flow of oil to moving parts.
Forces grease into bearings with grease gun, smears grease on friction surfaces, or packs grease cups by hand
Fills wells and sumps of lubricating systems with oil.
Reclaims cutting and lubricating oils from machines by pumping oil from machine reservoir into barrel, dumping oil from barrel into centrifugal separator that removes metal chips and dirt from oil, and drains clean oil from separator into containers.
Use Hand tools to remove machine covers and waycovers to access areas of the machines to be cleaned and PM / Grease, and lubricate bearings in those areas of need.
Cleans around work areas.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma/GED preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to obtain certifications to drive motorized equipment (forklifts and man lifts)
Must be safety orientated for self and others
Must be willing to work in a team environment.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
