Primary Purpose of Position Demonstrates mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge in carrying out assignments associated with the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and proposed modification of plant specific nuclear licensed Operations training programs. Primary Duties and Accountabilities Drives the clean energy center (CEC) and personnel performance improvement through the use of training. Coordinates, and conducts performance-based operations Reactor Operator (RO)/Non-Licensed Operator (NLO) training programs as required by user community in accordance with Constellation's systematic approach to training model, department procedures, and with proper application of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. Assures the training programs are maintained current and incorporate information gained from Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) Significant Operating Experience Reports and Constellation Nuclear Event Reports (NERs), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Bulletins and Information Notices, CEC design change and backfit information, CEC procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports. Prepares trainee examination and conducts trainee evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments, as appropriate and conducts counseling sessions for trainees, evaluates the results, and recommends/develops individualized training programs. Support CEC and fleet in the areas of business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects. Participates in NRC, INPO and management audits, and prepares responses to audit findings. Maintains knowledge of plant operations, disciplinary skills and techniques, commensurate with the responsibility to develop and conduct effective, high-quality training. Supervises the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities. Must achieve Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) certification within 18 months of assuming the position. Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department. Constellation is seeking Initial License Trainees (ILT) to become a licensed Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) supporting Nine Mile Point Generating Station located in Oswego, NY. The primary purpose of this position is to train and prepare to perform the duties of an Operations Shift Supervisor who holds a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License. Upon completion of training the candidate will be fully licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to supervise the licensed activities of licensed reactor operators in the reactor control room. They will also be trained to directly supervise bargaining unit reactor operators and equipment operators generally. Primary Duties and Accountabilities Attend Initial License Training (ILT) which includes classroom training and examination, along with on-the-job training and evaluation. Successfully complete all phases of training to obtain an SRO license in order to perform the duties of an Operations Shift Supervisor. Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department. Comparable is Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) to PWR or Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) to BWR and noncomparable is PWR to BWR or BWR to PWR. 1.5-years or more in a position equivalent to Reactor Operator (or Supervisor) at military reactor (i.e., Power Plant Watch Engineer, Engineering Watch Supervisor, Reactor Operator, Engineering Officer of the Watch, Propulsion Plant Watch Supervisor). Must have 1.5-years after qualification. Degree from a 4-year program or equivalent in engineering, engineering technology or physical sciences, or professional engineer license, and more than 1.5-years as a qualified non-licensed operator or a supervisor or manager in work control, operations, engineering, outage management, maintenance, radiation protection, chemistry, or accredited training at a comparable (BWR or PWR) facility. Managerial, staff engineer, or supervisor experience at noncomparable plant may be credited on a 1.5:1.0 basis (i.e., over 2.25-years required for noncomparable facility), and 3-years required for a nontraditional degree. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Inspects, repairs, installs and removes motors, generators, transformers, switches, and electrical signal and communication systems, along with their control equipment and wiring. Locates and repairs failures in electrical circuits and equipment. Installs test apparatus on electrical equipment. Documents complex electrical wiring in schematic diagrams. Assists other maintenance and modifications crafts. Provides training and oversight to other personnel. Performs emergency response duties as assigned. To be assigned as needed to support decon, housekeeping, painting, calibration, tool room work and other duties as assigned by the Company. This position requires completion of an Electrician qualification book. Primary Purpose of Position Plan and prepare work packages for work to be performed by the respective maintenance departments to ensure that the Clean Energy Center (CEC) maintenance is performed in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner, in compliance with the Quality Assurance (QA) manual, company policies, procedures, and applicable codes and standards. Primary Duties and Accountabilities Plan and prepare work instructions that provide direction to the Maintenance Department for corrective maintenance repairs, performance of preventive maintenance and surveillance's, and the implementation of modifications. Select and approve purchase, or make procurement recommendations for all materials needed for work package execution. Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze corrective and preventive maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities and to provide input for refining and improving work package quality. Interface and collaborate with Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to identify and resolve work package issues. Define procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials required to perform planned work packages. Facilitate package preparation by preparing and/or submitting Out of Service (OOS's), Radiation Work Permit (RWP's), plant barrier impairments, welding/grinding permits, fire impairments, Operability impact statements, As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) task outs, Regulatory/Code documentation, Nuclear Oversight (NOS) hold/witness points, freeze seal and temporary leak repair documentation, and other requests. Verify work instructions are adequate and comply with all applicable CEC procedures including Nuclear Safeguard Protocol (NSPs), National Strategy for Space Nuclear Power and Propulsion (NSWPs), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Code, etc. Approve and review all required work packages to ensure safety, high quality, technical rigor, and 10CFR50.59 screening or evaluation (if required). Develop revise, and review maintenance procedures to facilitate and enhance work package development, maintain compliance with codes, standards, and vendor recommendation, and maintenance direction. Provide project management of other system planners or contractors to develop detailed elements of overall package preparation. Participate in work control/scheduling meetings, planning feedback/craft interface time, detailed contract requisition reviews, complex troubleshooting, EQR2 reviews, detailed Operating Experience (OPEX) searches, Maintenance risk request reviews, Planner peer reviews, and system interaction reviews to ensure applicable CEC processes and applicable changes are supported. Primary Purpose of Position The Nuclear Duty Officer (NDO) is the designated representative of nuclear management, responsible for notifying the Chief Nuclear Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice Presidents and other nuclear personnel of clean energy centers (CECs) operational events or occurrences. The NDO supports the clean energy centers by coordinating efforts among all corporate groups to ensure safe, reliable and efficient plant operations. Works with the Generation Portfolio Operations Team to optimize the efficiency and minimize the impact of load drops and scheduled outages. Contributes to the development and maintenance of a standard operations program within the fleet to achieve consistently high levels of performance in plant operations at all CECs. Routinely interfaces with CEC counterparts and industry peers to ensure continuous improvement. Functions as a corporate expert on all matters related to the conduct of plant operations and regulations governing plant operations. May function as/represent Director Corporate Operations. Primary Duties and Accountabilities Establish and enforce consistent Operations procedures, policies, and direction consistent with fleet goals and initiatives. Identify, develop and implement Operations-based best practices from the fleet and the industry. Periodically assess implementation of and compliance to standard procedures, policies, and directions. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Inspects, tests, repairs and calibrates instrument systems including reactor and turbine plant control and protective equipment, radiation counting and detecting instrumentation and security equipment. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Tests all types of meters and gauges in the plant. Performs corrective or routine maintenance duties including decontamination, cleaning and replacing components of circuits. Maintains accurate records of instrument calibration and work performed. Installs, tests and maintains all types of relays when used in connection with the most involved control systems and equipment arrangements at major stations on the bulk power system. Tests equipment involving the bulk power system such as large circuit breakers. Tests and maintains the complicated equipment such as supervisory, tone, telemetering and carrier equipment. Reviews and analyzes problems to recommend improvements and modifications in organization, procedures, policies, standards, specifications, methods, processes, and equipment. To be assigned as needed to support decon, housekeeping, painting, calibration or tool room work and other duties as assigned by the Company. Provides training and oversight to other personnel. Primary Purpose of Position Responsible for ensuring programs and processes are effectively utilized to support exemplary plant performance as Manager of the Organizational Effectiveness (OR) department, with direct accountability for understanding the comprehensive picture of clean energy center (CEC) performance, and for leading the development and implementation of solutions to performance gaps. Interfaces directly with the station leadership team and with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Nuclear Safety Review Board (NSRB), and with Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO), on matters related to the corrective action program (CAP), self-assessment programs, benchmarking, safety culture and human performance (HU). Primary Duties and Accountabilities Supports the site Senior Leadership Team in formulation and implementation of solutions to performance gaps, including identifying CAP, HU, performance improvement (PI) related actions, performance improvement tools, performance data, and root cause analyses to identify performance gaps. Identify individual change agents and authorize them to influence the culture to mandate improved performance. Provide challenge and insight to ensure that the performance improvement model is used to prevent, identify and understand, and correct issues at the clean energy center. Develop insights and solutions around performance drivers at the CEC. Primary Purpose of Position Directly responsible for the supervision, assignment, and coordination of Maintenance Division activities to ensure a productive workforce that supports all divisional, departmental, Clean Energy Center (CEC), and corporate goals while in accordance with all company policies and local, state, and federal regulations. Interfaces with the department schedulers and planners to plan and execute work. Provides recommendations on training, procedure changes, and other needs to support safe and efficient execution of work activities. Participates as an Emergency Plan team member. Primary Duties and Accountabilities Effectively supervise craft personnel to ensure that all assigned maintenance activities are performed safely and effectively by qualified workers in accordance with CEC procedures, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations, and the CEC schedule. Ensures department personnel are properly supervised, trained, and qualified to perform assignments, including emergency plan qualifications. Administer coaching, mentoring and performance management, including initiation of disciplinary action, for assigned employees. Effectively communicating significant CEC and personnel issues to Maintenance Manager and all applicable levels of CEC management. Fostering open communications and collaboration between all organizations internal and external to the CEC including Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) and regulatory agencies. Ensure effective communication of company programs, announcements, policies, etc. to assigned employees and feedback to the company from assigned employees. Participate in various aspects of work control coordination, scheduling, and engineering meetings involving online and refuel outage activities, to ensure that assigned work is properly assigned, planned and ready to work. Understands, supports and administers all Maintenance processes, such as the training program, surveillance program, procedure revisions and Corrective Action Program (CAP) to ensure effective work practices. Identify and support improvement opportunities, when applicable. Supervise vendor inspections and repair of CEC equipment. Assure effective procurement and use of material, parts, tools, equipment, and Maintenance and Technical (M&TE). Participates in all aspects of Maintenance Department management to support safe and efficient operation of the CEC, including the development, implementation, and performance monitoring of all corporate, CEC, and divisional business goals and objectives. Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
