Certified Nurses Assistant

Monitor the health conditions of individuals served and ensure quality services are provided
Provide training, assistance, and/or supervision to individuals in the areas of daily living, personal care, financial management, community, and social integration

Assist with activity programs, including off-site outings and off-site appointments
Maintain current progress notes and other documentation
Assist with household activities such as housekeeping and meal preparation
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
One year experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant, preferably working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a hospital, residential, clinical, and/or long-term care setting
Current Certified Nurse Assistant CPR/First Aid certification

PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; mobility, exposure to hazardous/bio-hazardous materials; manual dexterity and motor coordination; read and understand medical information, visual and auditory acuity; distinguish colors; maneuver objects weighing up to 20 pounds.

The Dermatology Specialist Clinical Assistant functions as a member of the patient care team, contributing to the health management of the patients; performs a variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for Clinic patients, many in assistance to section physicians and under the direction and supervision of the Practice Manager; maintains primary responsibility for all technical procedures and the operation and care of the nursing unit in the department. Contributes to patient and department compliance with Federal and all other health plans with patient management objectives.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent; certification from an accredited medical assisting program or medical assistant training/experience preferred; medical terminology; experience working with computers; experience working with the public; typing skills at least 55 wpm; CPR certified; two years medical experience; excellent communication skills.
