Detailers use AutoCAD software to draw metal buildings, components, and connections between building parts. Detailers produce blueprint drawings for concrete anchor bolts, shop drawing blueprints for component manufacture here at the plant, and blueprints for the contractors erecting the building projects. Detailers also create and verify load lists for hardware and parts related to building projects.
Job Requirements:
The ability to mentally picture two-dimensional drawings in 3D is a necessary skill for this position.
Knowledge of the construction of metal buildings and components is a plus.
Familiarity with AutoCAD is another plus and can assist in accomplishing the required duties.
