Job Description
1. Assisting with on-campus events and activities: set up/tear-down before and after events; help with recruiting process; encourage and engage residents to attend; make reminder phone calls; join and help motivate throughout programming, transport elders t and from their personal rooms.
2. Driving Episcopal Homes residents to and from scheduled events. Assisting the resident on and off the bus, including passengers with walkers and in wheelchairs. Assisting with packages on and off the bus.
3. Maintaining the appearance of the bus, both inside and out.
4. Reporting any problems with the vehicle, and coordinating maintenance as needed.
5. Part time (20 hours/week). Flexible hours. Scheduled hours vary from daytime to evening, weekdays and weekends.
6. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent.
A valid Minnesota Class B Driver's license with a passenger endorsement. It is the responsibility of the individual to obtain necessary and proper driver's license and endorsements for this position. The ability to attain a CDL license (fees to be paid by Episcopal Homes).
Strong customer services skills with the ability and desire to work work older adults with varying abilities.
Patience and understanding of the senior population.
Ability to maintain a clean driving record.
Must pass a background check.
Provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
