Pros of working at Equality Charter School

One will attain teaching skills as a new teacher in classroom management, lesson plan development, working with co-teacher, grading and organization.

Cons of working at Equality Charter School

Teachers do not have a voice at this school, neither protection or support from administration. Selected teachers are protected and regarded. Other teachers are not supported when student teacher conflict takes place, students have the upper hand with their teacher dislikes due to holding them accountable and not easily passing them in the class. Teachers bad report with their work is noted, given a warning that has been embellished with untrue information painting a negative picture of the teacher. Teachers are overwhelmed and overworked while expected to turn the cheeks about student's bad behavior.

What do you like best about Equality Charter School's CEO and the leadership team?

At the beginning of my employment I liked the leaders of the school, now I see it is all a business.

How would you improve Equality Charter School's culture?

The culture has to change many things wrong with the school. First and far most by stating that the school does what it does for putting students first. Not discipling students for wrong behavior and just passing them in their courses does not support putting students first. Students will suffer as a consequence in their near future by not being ready for college or full-time employment.

How did you prepare for the Equality Charter School interview?

I researched the school, looked up the reviews and reviewed my experience as to what I was able to offer the school based on my background and desires to be a teacher.

How does your compensation at Equality Charter School compare to the industry average?

I believe the school pays more than other schools which is great based on the economy one lives in presently. However, I think this is where teachers get caught up and keep silent about things going wrong in the school - they do not want to lose this salary.

What's the diversity at Equality Charter School like?

There is no problem about diverse demographics in the organization, there are many minority-based staff members - however superiority is seen with caucasian teachers- cliques live within these groups of teachers which therefore creates divide in the organization.

What brings you the most joy at Equality Charter School?

Knowing I am making a difference in at last a few students knowing that in their future college experience they will remember advice I have given them.
