Equifax CEO and leadership

Mark Begor was named Chief Executive Officer of Equifax and a member of the Board of Directors in April 2018.

Begor previously served as a Managing Director in the Industrial and Business Services group at Warburg Pincus, a $40 billion growth-focused private equity firm with over 120 portfolio companies. He also served two years as a member of the Board of Directors at FICO.

Prior to that, Begor spent 35 years at General Electric, most recently as President and CEO of GE’s $8 billion energy management business. Before leading GE Energy Management, Mark was President and CEO of GE Capital Real Estate. He also served as President and CEO of GE Capital Retail Finance (Synchrony Financial), successfully guiding it through a period where the business doubled in size.

Begor was a senior vice president and member of GE’s Corporate Executive Council for 10 years and a GE officer for 19 years. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer at NBCUniversal Media and as GE's Investor Relations leader, where he oversaw a large number of acquisitions and dispositions.

Begor is a graduate of Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing, and he has an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Bryson R. Koehler joined the Board in January 2019 and serves on the Technology and Data Committee.

Mr. Koehler has served as Chief Technology Officer at Equifax since June 2018, where he is responsible for leading Equifax’s global information technology strategy and development.

From November 2016 to June 2018, Mr. Koehler was Chief Technology Officer for the IBM Watson and Cloud Platform, the division that encompasses the cognitive and AI computing capabilities of Watson machine learning. From July 2012 to November 2016, he was Chief Technology and Information Officer at The Weather Channel Companies (TWCC) before it was acquired in 2016 by IBM. Prior to joining TWCC, Mr. Koehler served as Senior Vice President of Global Revenue and Guest Technology at the Intercontinental Hotels Group from January 2002 to December 2011.

Mr. Koehler brings to the Board his exceptional experience in cloud computing, data analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), technology architecture development and specialized applications. His proficiency in driving technology and data change at large publicly traded companies and his expertise in overseeing the strategic vision, development, technical operations, financial planning, and execution of technology initiatives, paired with his experience leading global product development and technology teams, led the Board to consider him well-qualified to serve as a director of the Company.

John Gamble is the chief financial officer of Equifax and is responsible for all financial functions including corporate finance, investor relations, accounting, audit, tax and treasury. Gamble was named to the position in May 2014 when he joined the company. Previously, Gamble was executive vice president and chief financial officer for Lexmark International, Inc., where, in addition to corporate finance functions, he was responsible for the company’s investor relations, information technology, strategy and development; and internal audit and security functions. Prior to Lexmark, he was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Agere Systems, Inc. Before that, Gamble held finance leadership roles with AlliedSignal, Inc., and then Honeywell International, Inc., following the merger of the two companies. Earlier, he served in a variety of finance capacities with General Motors. Gamble began his career as an electrical engineer with Bethlehem Steel Corporation. Gamble holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University and a master's degree in business administration from Columbia Business School.

Carla Chaney is the Senior Vice President, Human Resources of Graphic Packaging Holding Company, a position she has held since July 15, 2013. Ms. Chaney joined Graphic Packaging Holding Company from Exide Technologies, a leading global supplier of stored electrical energy. Ms. Chaney was with Exide Technologies from February 2012 to July 2013 and served most recently as Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Communications. Prior to Exide Technologies, Ms. Chaney held a variety of leadership roles with Newell Rubbermaid, Inc. from 2004 to 2011, including Group Vice President, Human Resources for the Home & Family business segment, Regional Vice President, Human Resources, EMEA; Corporate Vice President, Global Organization and People Development; and Vice President, Human Resources, Culinary Lifestyles Business. Ms. Chaney also worked for Georgia-Pacific from 1992 to 2004.

As Chief Information Security Officer of Equifax, Jamil Farshchi is responsible for ensuring the security of the company’s digital assets and transforming the Equifax cybersecurity program into a world-class capability. Farshchi previously served as the CISO of The Home Depot, where he built the company’s information security program into an industry leader following one of the largest cyber breaches in history. He also served as the first Global CISO of Time Warner; Vice President of Global Information Security for Visa; Deputy Chief Information Assurance Officer for NASA; and the CISO of the Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he had responsibility for defending some of the most sensitive national security and nuclear weapon assets in the US.
