Mr. Horowitz has been instrumental in leading Elbit Systems of America’s organic growth and strategic acquisitions, resulting in its evolution as a leader in enhancing lethality, survivability and combat readiness for the defense industry. Its commercial aviation division is pioneering global changes in aviation safety by providing low visibility solutions for commercial airlines, cargo carriers, and business jet operators. The company’s advanced security solutions are helping secure America’s borders with 24/7 surveillance coverage. And, for more than 35 years, its medical instrumentation division has been providing engineering and design services and advanced manufacturing capabilities to bring life science instruments to the market. Matt Ronet was appointed to Lumileds CEO October 20202. Roney most recently served as President of Lumileds’ Automotive Business Unit. After more than 20 years in leadership roles at automotive and industrial businesses, Mr. Roney brings a broad range of business experience to Lumileds. Prior to joining Lumileds, Roney served as Chief Operating Officer for Stanley Infrastructure, a division of Stanley Black & Decker. Previously, Roney was the President of Paladin Attachments, which was acquired by Stanley Infrastructure. He also spent eight years at TRW Automotive, now known as ZF TRW, in roles of rising responsibility, including Vice President and General Manager of its $2.5 billion Global Steering Business.
