Responsibilities
Diagnose machinery and equipment failures in the aerospace industry for precision Machine Tools, Industrial and Infrastructure Equipment in a fast-paced production environment. Determine parts /material requirements, and perform timely repairs, as required to support our production customers. Service and maintain lubrication and metal cutting fluids on plant assets and equipment.
Assist higher grade employees in the completion of work, or complete work under the direction of a higher-grade employee in same job classification, or work plans.
+ Support root/cause analysis in support of reliability processes, and collaborate with vendors, engineering, team leader, customer, other crafts and management to solve equipment problems and develop corrective action.
+ Perform Planned Services and Preventative Maintenance on machinery and equipment minimize risk of unplanned downtime.
+ Enter and retrieve data from the CMMS system to identify and account for work, as well as order parts required to accomplish work tasks, (except as relates to inventory, store, record, issue and any other duties related to material support technician.) Communicate in CMMS to follow-on shifts, as to what work has been accomplished and what work is yet needed.
+ Work from general knowledge and experience, as well as blueprints, schematics and formal documentation to complete job tasks.
+ Train other employees in same job classification as requested or required.
+ Assist Management with work assessment for proper completion of assignment or project.
+ Be willing to accept shift work.

We are looking for an exceptional Coating Equipment Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain high vacuum chambers and related equipment. You will do this by:
+ Performing regular preventive maintenance (PMs), pump changes, and component rebuilds.
+ Assisting Thin Film Engineering with coating chamber modifications and upgrades.
+ Maintaining inventory for all items related to coating machines.
+ Disassembling, cleaning and reassembling deposition sources, feed throughs, rotational drives and other items.
+ Maintaining and supporting sensors and monitoring equipment and basic operation of Thin Film Equipment to aid troubleshooting of electronics to component level. This will be done through frequent collaboration with Thin Film Engineering and Production Operations to optimize uptime and reliability.
+ Organizing, writing and revising preventive maintenance (PM) programs and procedures on all coating systems utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). You will also do this by writing technical maintenance procedures and processes for production equipment.
What will you bring to the team is:
+ A minimum of ten years' experience working with high vacuum equipment
+ Planned maintenance operations and organization experience
+ Experience with RF and DC Plasma assisted deposition methods.
+ Experience with Physical Deposition methods such as sputtering and electron beam.
+ Experience diagnosing machine related electronics required. Ability to analyze and modify schematics preferred.
+ Clean room environment experience; Photo contamination knowledge a plus.

The Day-to-Day:

Provide equipment support to improve tool performance

Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions (to board level in some cases), determine corrective actions, and implement these actions
