DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Main duties and responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.) * Drives or operates, maintains various equipment such as motorized road grader, road-rollers, tractors, asphalting machine backhoe, front-end loader, mowers, dump-trucks, and may operate smaller or less complex equipment as needed. * Clears and digs drainage ditches, cuts roadways and performs other manual labor as required. * Maintains routine duty records of work. The Bucket Operator is responsible for climbing, pruning, and removing trees. The Equipment Operator operates heavy equipment of various types to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. Candidates must have a Class A or B CDL to be considered for this role. General Overview: The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Loader and other Heavy Equipment. This position operates loaders equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket which is used to transport aggregate or other materials, feed hoppers or chutes, and/or stock pile aggregates.
