About the role
As an EquipmentOperator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials and refuse of various forms through Reworld's industrial disposal process.
Position Responsibilities:
Receive and process inbound materials, through the safe operation of various types of industrial equipment, such as: forklift, track hoe, skid steer, vacuum truck, tanker truck, roll-off truck, walking floor trailer, pressure washer, material handling equipment, and various hand tools
Receive, weigh, unpack, and label containers, as necessary
Safely operate industrial equipment to consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor
Follow defined industrial and manufacturing good housekeeping practices at all Reworld facilities and within assigned work areas
Exterior site maintenance and improvement, as needed, which includes: litter collection, painting, snow removal and ice prevention
Traffic Control for incoming/outgoing traffic
Assist facility mechanic(s) with equipment repairs
Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations
Position Requirements & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
A minimum of 1 year experience operating industrial equipment
Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule

Duties and Requirements:

Safety protocols: Maintain a safe work environment by following all company safety policies and procedures. Be aware of blind spots and surroundings to prevent accidents.
Communication and reporting: Maintain clear and regular communication with a supervisor or dispatcher. Fill out daily work logs detailing equipment hours, work completed, and materials used.

* High School graduate or equivalent; 3 years experience in Public Works maintenance activities, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Proficiency in the operation and mechanics of a diverse range of Public Works heavy equipment. Working knowledge of the materials and techniques required for maintenance and repair projects.
* Massachusetts Class B/Commercial Drivers License required. Massachusetts Hoisting Engineers license required, 2A preferred, 2B and 4G required. An applicant hired into this position without the required licenses will be required to obtain them within six (6) months of employment.
