About the role
As a Loader Operator, you are responsible for the safe, environmentally sound and efficient daily operation of the process plant in assisting and supporting the operation to effectively maintain of the power generation facility's fuel feed.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for operating heavy equipment front end loaders to feed RDF material onto one or more fuel feed systems in a consistent manner to support full-load boiler operation Spots incoming waste trucks and directs dumping location on the tipping floor.
Oversees and assists with loading of non-ferrous metals into transport trailers.
Work in ash house, loading ash trucks and maintain operation of ash house equipment.
Maintains cleanliness of equipment and an orderly clean work area.
Performs daily routine pre-operational inspection of heavy equipment and fuel feed conveyor equipment and fills out required log sheets.
Performs checks as required by the weekly activities book, the monthly critical items check lists, etc.
Performs troubleshooting on equipment, reporting all malfunctioning equipment to the shift supervisor for the issuance of work orders.
Maintains proper fuel, lubricant, and oil levels for operation of equipment.
Performs lockout and tagout of equipment in support of maintenance activities.
Performs additional tasks as directed by the shift supervisor or his/her designee.
Position Requirements & Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
