Equipment operator-driver job description

Here's what you'd do:


The Snow Equipment Operator must be interested in learning to do all aspects of snow removal during the winter. Equipment Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by policies and procedures.


You'd be responsible for:


Removing snow using a snow plow and heavy equipment for several hours at a time, depending on the amount of snowfall Being available each time it snows and report either to a central location or directly to the jobsite Removing snow in appropriate locations, avoiding piling it on trees, shrubs, fire hydrants or sidewalks Reporting any concerns or incidents to your direct Supervisor Filling out a job sheet as soon as you are finished working after each snow removal operation Participating in maintaining a safe and secure work environment for team employees and clients by adhering to company safety policies Being aware of safety issues or concerns, and report them to the appropriate Supervisor Performing other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager


You might be a good fit if you have:


High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License and the ability to drive to a variety of work locations in assigned territory Reliable transportation to and from any work site


And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:


Prior experience operating snow plow equipment Ability to participate in routine maintenance of equipment Experience working efficiently in a production-driven / fast paced environment Physically able to work outside, sometimes in extreme weather conditions with sporadic hours based on a snow event Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to climb in and out of equipment Ability to sit for long periods of time Ability to safely operate equipment Ability to communicate effectively Willing to dress appropriately for all weather conditions Able to work overnight in the winter month Dependability

The Bartley Corporation is looking for a CDL equipment operator to operate one or more of the following:
Concrete pump Truck Stone/gravel slinger Truck Boom Crane Truck

Required Skills:

Candidate must have experience in concrete construction or operating concrete boom pumps or stone slingers. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a current DOT Medical Card Clean driving record Must be able to meet the physical requirements of operating and cleaning the concrete pump Responsible for maintenance and inspections of the pump Available to occasionally work nights or weekends Operator must proactively follow the Safety policy of the company and construction site. Excellent communication skills in English. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus.

Additional Information:

Selected candidate will either run a 31, 38, 47 meter Putzmeister concrete pump and/or an Ultra Stone Slinger. On job training will be provided by Bartley Corporation. Single pay rate for all work including pumping concrete, maintaining pump and operating other equipment.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Industrial Cleaning Operator will operate, maintain, and repair high-pressure water blasting equipment and industrial vacuuming equipment necessary to perform the safe and proper removal, containment, transportation, and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials within heavy industrial settings. They perform the general labor activities of a Hydroblast Technician, as well as operate water lasting and industrial vacuum equipment.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive, and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary from time to time.

• Show commitment to perform all assigned duties safely, at all times.
• Meet physical requirement to be able to safely perform all duties of Hydroblast Technicians.
• Will be trained to operate industrial vacuum trucks, high-pressure industrial water blasters, and other necessary equipment.
• Will identify mechanical problems of assigned equipment and follow up appropriately by performing minor mechanical repair and/or communicating problems to supervisor for speedy repairs.
• Will safely and effectively perform decontamination process of assigned equipment as required by project and company policy in order to prevent cross-contamination between equipment and job sites.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Exposed to weather, including extreme temperatures.
• Work in atmospheres with potential for exposure to various chemicals that may be hazardous, toxic, or corrosive.
• Required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders to heights of up to 250 feet.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• CDL Class A or B required.
• Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement preferred.
• Must not have manual restriction.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.
• Ability to work overtime and some on-call.
