The Drill Operator uses Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment to drill high-precision holes into rigid and rigid-flex multilayer printed circuit boards (PCBs) (a flat laminated substrate consisting of an epoxy base laminate with multiple very thin copper layers). Drill holes range in size and can be as small as 0.005” in diameter. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who is reliable and has a keen eye for detail. As an operator, you will handle tasks related to machine setup, product quality, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Essential Job Function: Perform job related tasks as instructed by supervisor. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Assist on removal of copper flash from panels edges. Visually inspect panels for surface defects. Read and understand applicable Process Procedures and safety rules. Set up, load, unload and operate CNC drill machines with minimal supervision. Load, unload and set up appropriate drill cassettes according to traveler drill sizes. Drill F/A (First Article) panel and make appropriate table adjustments.
