Maintaining the appearance of the forklift and crane by keeping it clean, free of debris and painted. Follow all safety procedures during all crane and forklift operations. Know and understand McAllister's Safety Policy and comply with all the requirements of the Quality Safety Management System. Assisting other departments as needed. Ensuring personnel under your direction work in a safe and efficient manner. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Proven experience working with an overhead crane, in all types of weather conditions. Licensed as required under federal, state and local law. As a Heavy Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of industrial machinery to support our production goals. You will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting heavy equipment, following all safety protocols, and meeting production targets. This is a 1st Shift position (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM). Responsibilities: Separates parts from scrap through use of a trim die or hand break. Check and inspect parts by using a gage or visual and sign off on it at fixed intervals. Check machine, if it stops and notify Mechanic or Foreperson of any issues. Maintain housekeeping in your work area. Cover a machine for another employee when on break. Be Safety conscious and wear all PPE required. May be asked to work in another department temporarily if needed Follow Supervisor's and Foreperson's instructions. Communicate with other employees. Requirements: Must be 18 years or older. NSI Industries is seeking a Heavy Machine Operator for our Stratford, CT location. As a Heavy Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of industrial machinery to support our production goals. You will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting heavy equipment, following all safety protocols, and meeting production targets. This is a 1st Shift position (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM). Responsibilities: Separates parts from scrap through use of a trim die or hand break. Check and inspect parts by using a gage or visual and sign off on it at fixed intervals. Check machine, if it stops and notify Mechanic or Foreperson of any issues. Maintain housekeeping in your work area. Cover a machine for another employee when on break. Be Safety conscious and wear all PPE required. May be asked to work in another department temporarily if needed Follow Supervisor's and Foreperson's instructions. Communicate with other employees. Requirements: Must be 18 years or older. Ability to operate machines. On the job training. Must be able to understand all essential functions. In approximately one month, candidate should have a good understanding of the job. Environment: 100% within manufacturing facility. Conditions may be hot and noisy for extended periods.
