SUMMARY OF DOZER OPERATOR AT LAYTON SERVICES
Accountable for operating a variety of heavy equipment but primarily bulldozers, for different tasks such as grading, land clearing, bulk dirt moving, and assisting in site development projects. Ensuring precise grading for roads, curbs, islands, and building pads with and without GPS. This role requires strong attention to detail and understanding of the job site safety practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate bulldozers to cut, grade, and level land according to project specifications.
Push, spread, and compact soil, rock, and other materials to prepare job sites.
Follow grade stakes, GPS, and foreman instructions to achieve the required elevations.
Assist in site preparation for underground utilities, roads, and building pads.
Exhibit a responsible, safety-first attitude at all times.
All additional responsibilities as required by the role.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment.
Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling techniques.
Knowledge of grading techniques, slope control, soil compaction, site plans, and grade stakes.
Experience in using GPS and laser grading systems.
Ability to read and follow project plans, site maps, and supervisor directions.
Understanding of OSHA workplace safety regulations and best practices.

Job Description
Our distribution network is built to deliver stock to our stores and fulfill direct-to-consumer orders with speed and efficiency. Merchandise is shipped to our distribution centers ("DCs”), where it is received and inspected before being shipped to stores or direct-to-consumer customers. The Distribution Center operation encompasses merchandise processors, material handlers, and power equipmentoperators.

This is a full time position with overtime available on the following shifts
1st Shift: Mon-Thurs, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM or Mon-Fri 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

• Use backpack blowers or portering equipment for hard-to-reach areas as required.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and complete documentation logs.
• Communicate site issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance of vehicle and tools
• Support and train backup drivers when assigned.
Qualifications :
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (CDL not required but preferred).
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Comfortable working independently and in all weather conditions.
• Previous experience in sweeping, grounds maintenance, or equipmentoperation is a plus.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid conditions, working near moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles.
Occasionally exposed to vibration, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electric shock.
Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit, drive, and operateequipment for extended periods.
• Lift or move up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Frequent exposure to outdoor conditions including dust, debris, and varying temperatures.
