Responsibilities:

Communicate with dispatch and Zone Leaders to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
Record completion logs and upload site photos using company software.
Maintain safety and professionalism while representing Wolverine on every job site.

NATURE OF WORK
The Vibratory Plow Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining vibratory plow equipment (specifically Vermeer 1250i or equivalent) to install underground conduit, fiber optic cable, and utilities in accordance with project plans and safety standards. The operator works collaboratively with the construction crew and performs support tasks related to underground utility installation
REQUISITE SKILLS
Experience:
* 1-year working with Vermeer or Ditch Witch DDD, or equivalent a plus.
* Vermeer 1250i or equivalent.
* Multiple conduit placement experience Is a plus.
Technical Skills:
* Knowledge of utility depths and placements; general knowledge of construction practices.
* Able to read blueprints/underground utility plans and interpret work assignments.
Education / Certification:
* Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Company will provide industry training and certifications if not already secured.
* CDL is a plus.
Physical Requirements / Aptitude:
* Able to work in trenches, manholes, tunnels and confined spaces and in work settings with moderate to loud noise levels.

Summary:
The Seasonal EquipmentOperator/ Laborer receives detailed instructions before and during work to perform a variety of highway maintenance duties. Caution must be exercised in operating highway maintenance equipment in order to prevent damage to equipment or injury to employees and the motoring public.
Position is not eligible for a modified or hybrid work schedule.
Relationships:
• Works either independently or with a crew of employees.
• Frequent contact with the motoring public, Indiana State Police and other ITR department personnel.
Responsibilities:
• Performs all tasks safely, complies with all internal and external safety requirements, supports ITRCC's safety culture, attends all safety trainings, and completes all compliance trainings as required by ITRCC.

• Performs similar maintenance activities as full time labor positions provide the incumbent is properly trained.
• Complete pre-trip vehicle inspection.
• Periodic assignment as a patrol vehicle for incident response and motorist aid.

• Participates in snow and ice operations.
• Fix signs and guardrail.
