This role's main function will be to operate industrial grade equipment efficiently while observing all safety protocols. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures to ensure safety. Operate wheel loaders and other heavy equipment proficiently. Work in a fast-paced close quarters environment with other heavy equipment, forklifts, garbage trucks and pedestrian traffic safely. Load trucks and/or processing equipment. Push material on tipping pads as needed. Construct onsite building pads, all weather surfaces, and slopes. Maintaining the sites roads and terrain. Assist with unloading trucks as needed. Communicate with the scale and spotters to manage traffic flow on the tipping floors. Daily pre trip and post trip inspections of equipment and report any issues to the supervisor on shift. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the use of all heavy equipment, its operation and all of the safety features. Ability to work with minimal supervision, think and make decisions quickly. Be punctual, and reliable in order to minimize disruptions to the day-to-day operations. Ability to work as a team and work well with others. Qualifications: General Computer Skills LOTO training Language Skill: Proficiency in English and/or Spanish Physical Demands: Requires the ability to handle material weighing up to 45 lbs.
