The Crane Operator is responsible to maintain and operate overhead crane and forklift to lift, move and position loads in a safe manner. Plan, specify, and position rigging equipment for accomplishing work in a safe and efficient manner. Operating cranes to offload and backload tugs, barges, and etc. Manipulate crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal or signal instruction. Maintaining the appearance of the forklift and crane by keeping it clean, free of debris and painted. Follow all safety procedures during all crane and forklift operations. Know and understand McAllister's Safety Policy and comply with all the requirements of the Quality Safety Management System. Assisting other departments as needed.
