Validus Energy is seeking a Lease Operator who is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of assigned oil and gas processing equipment, including the identification of problems or potential problems, documentation and production reporting. Responsible for daily upkeep and maintenance of oil wells. Operates oil production and injection equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures. Reports and interprets metrics such as volume and pressure of gas and oil within the well. Reports to Production Foreman. Responsibilities Monitor, maintain and report on the production operations of wells and production facilities. Monitor and maintain equipment such as pressurized vessels, compressor, generators, artificial lifts, computers, vehicles and automation equipment to ensure proper functioning. Operate oil and gas wells, as well as water disposal facilities. Enter daily production data into the field data capturing system. Perform minor repairs on surface equipment Monitor gauges and tests to ensure accuracy of oil and water run tickets. Work with Production Foreman and EHS Manager to maintain company policies and regulatory, environmental and safety compliance. Be the face of the company in the communities in which we operate and always work to be a good neighbor with a high level of integrity. Perform other related responsibilities as required or assigned. Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in the oil and gas industry required, minimum of 3 years Lease Operator experience preferred. Anadarko Basin experience, preferred. WellView/ProdView experience preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to tolerate prolonged shifts involving standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying weights of up to 50 lbs. Work in and around industrial and construction settings, which may include hazardous products, processes, materials and chemicals, including H2S, as well as prolonged exposure to outdoor work conditions, including extreme cold, hot and/or adverse weather conditions, and loud machinery, and may require appropriate personal protective equipment. Must possess a current, valid driver's license and the ability to meet and maintain all eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle. Subject to call-outs to respond to operational issues and emergencies after working hours, at night, and on weekends and holidays. The qualified candidate must be authorized to work in the United States and not require company sponsorship.
