Assist plant supervisor with the daily operations and upkeep of the plant.
Ability to inspect all areas of the plant and experience performing belt repairs, screen changes, bearing replacements and other necessary plant maintenance.
Perform welding and fabrication duties as needed.
Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly.
Must be able to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in MSHA policies and procedures manual, and OSHA guidelines.

• Operatingequipment in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy, as well as manufacturer's guidelines
• Performing daily maintenance and safety checks along with routine maintenance on equipment and machines
• May operate trucks to transport equipment to and from job sites as required
• Responsible for reporting problems and malfunctioning equipment to supervisor and / or shop foreman
• Ability to correctly operate grade control technology.
• Cleaning equipment as required
• Maintain a clean job site; pick up all tools and equipment, secure job site and equipment at the end of each day
• Foster civil interactions and relationships in the workplace
• Uphold acceptable attendance
• Is a productive team member that supports the team by traveling assisting where needed.
• Comply with all applicable safety, environment, health and waste management policies and procedures
• Ability to handle stress while adhering to the code of conduct and company safety policy

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
• Climb ladder 8-10 feet to access equipmentoperating station
• Keep equipment moving along specified path to ensure equipment is processing material to required specifications
• Remove excess built up material at the end of shift using a scrapper and shovel, periodically the EquipmentOperator may need to use jack or chipping hammers
• Working outdoors in all types of weather and conditions
Job Requirements and Education
• Over 18 years of age
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, Class A CDL is preferred
• Complete and pass pre-employment testing, including a drug screen and physical
• High school education or GED equivalent
Preferred Experience
At least 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment finish operator.
