Salary $34,403 Ideal Candidate The Hillsborough County Solid Waste Department is seeking a Solid Waste EquipmentOperator to assist operate vehicles, motorized and light equipment at the Solid Waste facilities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform manual labor in outside solid waste environment, exposed to heat, sun, high humidity, rain and other adverse weather conditions. Candidate will walk/stand for prolonged periods of time (approximately six (6) hours) per day. Duties and Responsibilities

* Operates motorized equipment such as pickup trucks, front-end loaders, skid steers, street sweepers, and other similar equipment to perform a variety of solid waste operational functions, including performing site clean-up. Operation of motorized equipment constitutes at least 50% of daily job duties.
* Checks and ensures that equipment is serviced and in good working condition; makes minor repairs and adjustments to equipment and ensures that periodic maintenance and major repairs are performed.
* Performs daily safety inspections and observes proper safety practices and regulations when operating or working around equipment.
* Screens solid waste materials received at the transfer station and removes unauthorized materials in accordance with the site's operational permit.
* Assists with directing traffic and guiding customer vehicles into position for proper unloading of waste.
* Assists with manual work related to transfer station operations, including cleaning waste loading and unloading areas in accordance with site's operational permit.
* Uses manual tools to pick up litter at the facility and ensure proper disposal.
* Performs other related duties as required.

Responsibilities
Work under the direction of the Lead Operator, Earthwork Foreman, Earthwork Superintendent, and/or other designated project leads
Follows and maintains safe operating procedures and protocols for all equipmentoperation and field activity in accordance with Moretrench safety policy and OSHA requirements
Safely performs physical duties associated with operation of Moretrench heavy equipment including but not limited to bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, handling, climbing into and out of, and around heavy equipment
Works safely in a wide variety of climatic conditions and job site environments commonly found at Moretrench job sites
Performs daily greasing and fluid checks and assumes responsibility for the maintenance and safe operation of any and all assigned pieces of equipment
Inspects assigned equipment prior to each use; and makes appropriate, accurate, and timely entries into the operator's checklist / equipment log for each piece of equipmentoperated
Immediately reports any equipment damage, maintenance problems or concerns and safety issues to the Foreman and/or Superintendent
Follows direction of the Foreman and/or Superintendent to overcome issues with changing and/or unforeseen field conditions or project scope
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience operating multiple pieces of heavy equipment at Class A operator level
Extensive experience in heavy equipmentoperations involving mass excavations; clearing and grubbing; backfilling and compacting; excavating and pipe laying; and construction and maintenance of embankments, berms, and dikes
In the case of a truck loading excavator, the ability to fully and safely load loads trucks in an efficient manner to meet the goals of the project
Demonstrate the skills of a finish grade operator (tolerance of 1/10 of a foot or better) on at least one piece of equipment, dozer or excavator
Skilled and fully competent in using GPS system as a grading tool to achieve grades
Skilled at the practice of operating safely on worksites according to OSHA, MSHA and Moretrench safety protocols and requirements
Note that all job site locations are remote and temporary, so a form of transportation is required. The vast majority of our work is within a 1 hour drive of Riverview, FL (just outside of Tampa) so our personnel do very little travel
Valid Florida driver's license, or the equivalent
Able to operate heavy machinery for long periods, including evenings and weekends when necessary
Must be able to operate machinery in all weather conditions and terrains
Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment, including the directional Drill.
Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.
Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met.
Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment using measuring and marking equipment.
Confer with the Project Manager, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities.
Arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery.
Review and process damage claims.
Follow the Company's policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as requested by the manager.
Additional Qualifications
1+ years of construction work experience
Understand all safety requirements per OSHA specifications.
A valid Driver's License is required
CDL-A preferred
Experience with the operation of Drills and/ or other Heavy equipment.
Working Conditions - Field environment, working in inclement weather; Flexibility of schedule.

* Job Summary:
The role of the driller/operator is core to the work we do at Dynetek Solutions LLC. A successful individual in this role will be able to demonstrate a skillful approach to problem solving while minimizing risk on the job site. The driller/operator will identify the needed resources required to successfully complete a job before, during and post drilling commences. The driller/operator will act independently but must have adequate communication skills to command the follow-through with the team he/she is working with.
* Responsibilities and Duties:
- Must follow all company's safety policies and procedures to ensure that appropriate safety precautions are taken in all circumstances and at all times.
- Conduct briefings to ensure all utilities have been located and accounted for.
- Use hand tools to spot existing utilities and prepare the route for the bore to follow.
- Set up directional drill and other support equipment for underground utility operations.
- Skillfully operate horizontal directional drill equipment for installation of electric
underground cable, including; operation of the drill to bore for product and prepare hole
to install product with minimal disruption to the surrounding infrastructure.
- Understanding of directional boring principals, mixing systems and mud, use of mud vac rigs, etc.
- Place, remove or maintain underground utilities as directed. This includes but is not
limited to carrying pipe, bags of material and other heavy items, jack hammering,
shoveling, tamping and installing pipe, and pulling power cable.
-Being able to read and understand machining instructions, job order, blueprint, process sheet, or layout on workpiece to determine machining required, sequence of operation, tooling, feed, and speed rate, applying knowledge of materials and machining.
-Work responsibly and communicate effectively with crew members.
- Secure work site, equipment and materials at the end of each shift to ensure public safety and safety of equipment and materials.
- Clean-up job site after work is finished.
- Refill holes, trenches, and compact soil to ensure that it is packed down and even.\
- Ensure that plants, flowers, and landscape is left in the same condition that it was found in. Lay dirt, sand, grass seed and straw as needed.
- Place temporary asphalt patches or concrete on streets as needed.
-Drive/tow truck with drill to job site.
- Performs preventive maintenance by greasing, oiling and making minor repair on equipment.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor.
*Competencies for the Job

Ability to read and comprehend machining instructions, blueprint, process sheet, or layout on workpiece to determine machining required, etc.
