The Crane Operator is responsible for operating mobile cranes with telescoping and lattice booms to load, unload, move and position heavy material and equipment at various work sites and conditions.
This position will need experience working as a Boom Truck Operator and needs to be knowledgeable in reading load charts. Mandatory: CDL license with a manual transmission.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Ability to operate, inspecting and maintaining cranes at boom lengths, angles and positions.
Inspecting work site conditions prior to setting up the crane.
Ability to simultaneously operate a cranes control, make difficult clearance judgements while watching the moving load and boom, and compensate for variations in the cranes lifting capacity during position changes.

Operate a variety of heavy equipment for underground utility projects.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Operator 3 is a member of the Golf Course Maintenance Team, and works with all equipment and tools used in golf course maintenance, including fertilizer applications. The Operator 3 is a very experienced operator and assists in training operators and offers insight to less experienced team members about their job assignments. This position reports to the Assistant Superintendent and takes direction from the Superintendent, First Assistant Superintendent, Second Assistant Superintendent, and the Crew Foreman.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Performs duties assigned to Operator 1 and 2, such as bunker raking, green and tee mowing, and hand mowing, in addition to operating riding machine equipment, including triplex units, small and large rough machines, fairway machines, approach machines, and rollers.
* Operates specialty equipment, including aerifiers, slicers, rollers, sweepers, vertical mowers, vacuums, topdressers, spray equipment, spreaders, sod cutters, car path edging implements, and drag mats.
* Understands the application process of fertilizer and other spreading operations.
* Work in a safe manner and use all personal protective equipment (safety gear) assigned.
* Be aware of safety requirements and report unsafe conditions or accidents to supervisor.
* Train operators and offer insight to less experienced team members about assignments.
* Lead by setting a good example for other operators.
