The Role * Assists drill operators and locators with equipment to complete assigned projects * Will work in and around both standard and high-risk areas with live utilities * Will learn about utility depths and placements * Ensures vehicles, equipment and tools are properly maintained, in good repair and secured in a safe manner * Reviews field designs and work with drill team to communicate discrepancies to supervisor for change orders * Properly documents all work completed to include pothole and bore logs * Will learn and assist with conduit splicing, vault/pedestal placement and fiber/coax placement as needed * Completes general restoration and cleanup * Completes all projects with safety as the #1 priority, ensuring compliance with internal safety standards and all governmental orders * Other duties as assigned Requirements * Underground telecommunications construction or installation experience preferred but not required * Ability to travel daily, out of state as needed, with company provided accommodations and per diems * Ability to work outside of business hours when needed, overtime, holidays, evenings, weekends etc., in all seasons * Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills * High level of energy, motivation and attention to detail * Ability to multi-task, shifting from one task to another without interruption * Ability to work with a noise level from moderate to loud * Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs as needed * Ability to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces or elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing in all weather conditions year round * Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains, managing equipment, safety equipment and tools * Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver's license is required if the role involves driving * Class A CDL ideal but not required * Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen) The compensation and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
