THE ROLE
The Compost Operations Foreman position is a full-time, hourly position and is located at our Environmental Waste Facility in Lost Hills. Heavy equipment will primarily include front-end loaders, screens, and conveyors. Other equipment that may be operated includes excavators, dozers, scrapers, generators and misc. other small pieces of equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or fatalities
Adjust windrows or piles by turning, watering, or covering to maintain proper biological activity
Provide supervision if required
Manage aeration systems and blowers
Load and unload material from trucks, stockpiles, or conveyors
Perform extensive record keeping for compost operation
Collect and record compost samples and temperature/moisture readings as required
Assist with landfill equipmentoperation as needed
Conduct daily safety inspections and basic maintenance checks
Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The APEX Beverage EquipmentOperator will assist in all areas of the Beverage Plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily production needs with the supervisors and inventory managers in loading/unloading trailers and production work. The EquipmentOperator must be willing and able to assist in operating the Beverage Plant equipment.
* Monitor and log equipment values and parameters to include temperature and pressure gauges, indicators, and meters.
* Track correct materials for all production requirements
* Unload and prepare ingredients for daily processing.
* Complete changeovers, CIP's, PMs, clean and sanitize tools/equipment as directed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Ensuring all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations.
* Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on equipment.

THE ROLE

Primary Responsibilities
Food Safety is the responsibility of all Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees. All Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees must be aware of CCPs in their area and how to document them appropriately. All staff must report food safety and quality problems to their immediate supervisor in charge during their shift.
Retrieve fruit from yard as per the fruit run schedule.
Unload fruit at the fruit offloading ramps.
Notify Supervisor/Relief Foreman if loads are found to be mixed with other varietals or containing foreign objects.
Ability to record individual load start/stop times using barcode scanner and HMI.
Weigh fruit loads at the scale prior to delivery to the fruit receiving station.
Clean extractors/finishers during line clean up periods.
Perform daily mechanical and safety checks on the shuttle truck and forklift (when used).
Return empty trailers to the lot.
Perform clean up on fruit receiving ramp when ramp is not in use.
Perform environmental cleaning inside offload tunnel, under/around fruit conveyors, and any other fruit spillages that may occur using shovels and waste bins.
Follow all safety rules and practices including the wearing of all personal protective equipment.
Follow all food safety/quality and personal hygiene practices.

The Shuttle Truck driver does not require a driver's license and can only be driven on Ventura Coastal property.
