    PCSI is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at its Detroit Arsenal Site. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining heavy equipment to support facility operations and maintenance at the Detroit Arsenal. Duties include the safe and efficient operation of machinery, such as loaders, backhoes, street sweepers, and forklifts, for tasks including material handling, landscaping, earthmoving, snow removal, and site preparation. Ensures compliance with safety standards, performs routine equipment inspections, and assists with general facility upkeep as needed. This position will report to the Grounds Supervisor. It is crucial to have the skills necessary to work as a valued team member for F&B to provide the type of service our customers have come to expect. To perform this position sufficiently, the employee must be able to perform the following duties satisfactorily. The below descriptions represent, but do not limit, the duties expected of this position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Operateheavy equipment (excavator, dozer, loader)in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures Efficiently be able to operate machines for earth moving, pipe installation & grading operations Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation Education, Experience & Qualifications: 3+ years of experience with earthwork and civil construction Willingness to learn and follow all safety policies and requirements This position requires climbing, kneeling, bending and crawling often as well as the ability to work on ladders, platforms and mechanical lifts Must be able to understand English Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Travel: Travel may be required for this position as the employee must be willing to travel to surrounding job sites. F&B will compensate a per diem for travel and overnight stay if applicable. Work Environment: As an Operator, you will be subject to various work environments. Environments include but are not limited to the following: high/low temperatures, areas close to traffic, loud and frequent noises, confined spaces, heights, indoor/outdoor settings.
