    Crane Operator Job Type: Contract **US Citizenship Required** AIM World Services is seeking experienced Crane Operators to support critical operations at Naval Base Kitsap -Washington. The Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mechanical boom and cable or tower and cable cranes to lift, move, and position machinery, equipment, and materials in multiple directions in support of high-value national defense missions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate cranes to lift, move, and load machinery, equipment, and various loose materials. Manipulate pedals and levers to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement in response to hand, voice, or signal instructions. Observe load hookup and determine the safety and stability of loads prior to movement. Conduct routine cleaning and lubrication of cranes and assist maintenance mechanics as needed. Inspect cranes for mechanical or electrical defects and promptly report malfunctions to supervision. Perform other related duties as assigned in support of operational requirements. Accountability The Crane Operator is accountable for: Proper and safe use of tools and equipment associated with crane operations. Completion of all mandated training per company, government, and contract requirements. Timely, accurate, and cost-effective performance of assigned duties. Maintaining professionalism and courtesy when interacting with coworkers, supervisors, and customers. Strict adherence to AIM World Services safety policies, industrial safety practices, and Standard Operating Procedures. Compliance with company personnel policies and procedures. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a mission-critical environment. Mandatory Qualifications Minimum of four (4) years of experience operating bridge, portal, or mobile cranes up to 120-ton capacity. Ability to obtain and maintain: Valid Washington State Class “A” Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Crane Operator Certification up to 120 tons. Demonstrated knowledge of rigging and forklift operations. Ability to obtain and maintain required medical certifications and operational explosives certifications when assigned to ordnance operations. Ability to meet and maintain company physical requirements, security requirements, and clearance eligibility as required by the contract. Strong communication skills suitable for a team-based service environment. Ability to successfully pass background checks and drug testing as required.

Monitor slope, crossfall, and grade targets on in-cab display; adjust blade pitch accordingly. Build Cut/Fill slopes to ( 0.15 ft or as directed).\ Work with Scarper Cut/fill Operations Finish Grade Production Follow the 3D model data to grade surfaces to set tolerances. Establish smooth transitions between contours; eliminate high/low spots. Able to interpret the GPS model and grade to the needed tolerances Monitor slope, crossfall, and grade targets on in-cab display; adjust blade pitch accordingly. Understand how to use the proper offsets/ hold-downs and polylines for neat line grading. Machine Diagnostics & Maintenance Conduct pre-shift start-up checks: fluid levels, track tension, sensor mounting. Observe onboard diagnostics, report error codes or mechanical Issues to the Field Foreman. Understand the wear parts of the dozer and be able to identify when they need to be changed. Material Handling Load, spread, and cut borrow or fill material as needed to achieve design grade. Work with large hauling operations to spread fill materials and keep materials balanced for finish grades. Additional Responsibilities & Requirements Grade Stake & Plan Interpretation Read and apply traditional grade stakes/ slope stakes and basic drawings when GPS is offline. Communication & Coordination Communicate clearly with surveyors, ground personnel, truck drivers, and supervisors via radio or hand signals. Relay real-time grade adjustments and equipment needs. Work with the on-site mechanic or Shop Foreman to resolve any equipment breakdown issues. Perform basic daily maintenance on equipment operated as needed. Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently. Minimum 8 years experience. Safety & Compliance Comply with company safety policies, EEO policies, and standard company procedures. Wear appropriate protective equipment: steel-toed boots, hard hats, eye protection, and ear protection. Administration Ability to fill out timecard and equipment inspections daily.
