ROLE of the POSITION
The Grounds Equipment Operator 1 operates a variety of gas and diesel-powered equipment used for grounds maintenance and minor construction activities. Incumbent's perform in a trainee capacity to acquire the knowledge, skills, and abilities required in this occupation. The successful candidate will operate and maintain a variety of gas and diesel and abilities required in this occupation. The successful candidate will operate and maintain a variety of gas and diesel equipment used to mow, fertilize, seed, maintain and repair turf and landscape areas; remove weeds and apply herbicides and pesticides; assist with landscaping and grounds projects; sweep and maintain sidewalks, streets and parking areas; perform general landscape duties such as refuse collection, zone clean-up, shrub and planter bed maintenance; pressure wash buildings and surfaces; and maintain tools, equipment and vehicles. Equipment used may include, but is not limited to, dump trucks, riding and push lawn mowers, edgers, line trimmers, blowers, sod cutters, tractors and attachments, pressure washers, motorized spray equipment and street sweepers. Routine equipment maintenance includes lubricating equipment, inspecting and changing belts, checking and adding fluids, changing filters, sharpening blades, and making adjustments and minor repairs to ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
Schedule: 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Job Summary
Will serve as on-site crewmember in support of customer requirements. Duties will include operator, maintenance, and logistical tasks in support of the Aerosonde system. Additional duties will include emplacement / displacement / inspection / repair and replenishment of associated equipment as well as proper notation of logbooks and flight records. Perform as a Subject Matter Expert for operator and maintenance related issues. Participate in site surveys and review conferences with customers.

Qualifications and Skills
2 Year Degree or equivalent experience
Experience in maintenance and repair of Unmanned Air Vehicle systems a plus
Prior military service a desired plus.
Familiarity with customer expectations, policies, and business practices and high customer satisfaction orientation.
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
Minimum requirement is that the candidate holds at least one of the following certifications:
UAS Operator
UAS Maintainer
FAA A&P License
FAA Private Pilot Certificate
Prior qualification as Aerosonde UAS operator or maintainer is highly desired. Candidates holding two or more of the above certifications are highly desired.
Successful completion of the Aerosonde Initial Qualification Training Course of Instruction is a condition of continued employment on this program.

Purpose and Scope:
Under indirect supervision of the Site Superintendent and/or a HEO-Lead, exercises independent judgment to accomplish assigned tasks. Must be able to satisfactorily answer a variety of interview questions. Must possess a valid Nevada Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Ability to use good judgment and common sense when performing job functions, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, ability to be punctual, and possess patience to work under stressful conditions. Ability to identify areas requiring immediate attention and the use of practical skill to solve problems. Fluent in English as exemplified in writing and in verbal skills. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Job assignments will involve the conduct of work in out-of-doors areas with exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
