These materials are most often produced from natural deposits of limestone and river sand. Our mining process typically begins with drilling and blasting the rock into smaller pieces. The material goes through various stages of crushing and screening to produce the sizes and specifications desired by our customers. About the Position The primary functions of the operator include but are not limited to being responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile aggregate mining and processing equipment and effectively monitor all equipment under his/her control. KEY RESPONSIBILITES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Regular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work location. Follow all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and MSHA. Follow all company policies and local, state and federal regulations for safe working procedures. Ability and knowledge to operate and monitor equipment in a safe and efficient manner. HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR A Heavy Equipment Operator operates equipment such as back-hoes, track-hoes, bulldozers, mini excavators, skid steers, or track loaders to lift, move or place equipment or materials. Fills water tank of machine from hydrant or other water source. Drives sweeper along street near curb. Moves controls to activate rotary brushes and water spray so that the machine automatically picks up dust and trash from paved streets and deposits it in dirt trap at rear of machine. Pulls lever to dump refuse in piles at curb for removal. Greases, oils, and performs minor repairs on all heavy equipment machinery. Works “On Call” as scheduled or required. ** Kemp Quarries is a leading producer of construction aggregates, primarily crushed stone, sand and gravel. These materials are most often produced from natural deposits of limestone and river sand. About the Position The primary functions of the operator include but are not limited to being responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mobile aggregate mining and processing equipment and effectively monitor all equipment under his/her control. We are seeking an experienced Grader Operator to work on our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating motor graders for base work and finish grading. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Operate motor grader to perform base blade work and fine grading for road construction projects. Ensure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs as needed Communicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget Develop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project schedules and deadlines Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and that safety procedures are followed at all times Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects Other duties as assigned Qualifications 5+ years of experience operating a motor grader in heavy civil or road construction.
