This is a high-production dirt and civil project requiring operators who are experienced, safety-focused, and comfortable running multiple types of heavy machinery in a fast-paced environment. Operators will handle mass excavation, trenching, grading, backfilling, and all earthwork activities necessary for substation pad development. GPS machine-control experience is strongly preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES: Equipment Operation Operate dozers, excavators, blades (motor graders), scrapers, loaders, and additional earthmoving equipment for mass grading and site development. Perform cut/fill operations, trenching, finish grading, and compaction support. Utilize GPS machine-control systems to achieve accurate grades and maintain production targets. Conduct basic equipment inspections; ensure machinery is maintained and operated safely. Earthwork & Site Development Follow grade stakes, construction plans, and GPS guidance for accurate scope execution. Assist with drainage installation, utility trenching, and all phases of pad construction. Collaborate with the crew to meet project timelines and quality standards. Safety & Compliance Maintain a safe jobsite and follow all company and AEP site-specific safety procedures. Participate in daily safety meetings and hazard assessments. Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or near-miss incidents immediately. Teamwork & Communication Work closely with the Site Superintendent, foremen, surveyors, and fellow operators. Communicate equipment or site concerns promptly to leadership. Support production goals by operating efficiently, accurately, and reliably. QUALIFICATIONS: 3-5 years of heavy equipment operating experience (dirt work, site development, or civil construction). Proficiency operating dozers, excavators, motor graders (blades), scrapers, additional earthmoving equipment as needed. Experience on large civil, industrial, or utility infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of grades, slopes, earthmoving processes, and jobsite safety. Ability to pass background check and drug screen. GPS machine-control experience (Trimble, Topcon, or comparable systems). Experience on substation, power, industrial, or energy-sector civil projects. High-level proficiency across multiple machine types. OSHA certifications or equipment-related credentials.

Job Summary: The role of the driller/operator is core to the work we do at Dynetek Solutions LLC. A successful individual in this role will be able to demonstrate a skillful approach to problem solving while minimizing risk on the job site. The driller/operator will identify the needed resources required to successfully complete a job before, during and post drilling commences. The driller/operator will act independently but must have adequate communication skills to command the follow-through with the team he/she is working with. Responsibilities and Duties: - Must follow all company's safety policies and procedures to ensure that appropriate safety precautions are taken in all circumstances and at all times. - Conduct briefings to ensure all utilities have been located and accounted for. - Use hand tools to spot existing utilities and prepare the route for the bore to follow. - Set up directional drill and other support equipment for underground utility operations. - Skillfully operate horizontal directional drill equipment for installation of electric underground cable, including; operation of the drill to bore for product and prepare hole to install product with minimal disruption to the surrounding infrastructure. - Understanding of directional boring principals, mixing systems and mud, use of mud vac rigs, etc. - Place, remove or maintain underground utilities as directed. This includes but is not limited to carrying pipe, bags of material and other heavy items, jack hammering, shoveling, tamping and installing pipe, and pulling power cable. -Being able to read and understand machining instructions, job order, blueprint, process sheet, or layout on workpiece to determine machining required, sequence of operation, tooling, feed, and speed rate, applying knowledge of materials and machining. -Work responsibly and communicate effectively with crew members. - Secure work site, equipment and materials at the end of each shift to ensure public safety and safety of equipment and materials. - Clean-up job site after work is finished. - Refill holes, trenches, and compact soil to ensure that it is packed down and even.\ - Ensure that plants, flowers, and landscape is left in the same condition that it was found in. Lay dirt, sand, grass seed and straw as needed. - Place temporary asphalt patches or concrete on streets as needed. -Drive/tow truck with drill to job site. - Performs preventive maintenance by greasing, oiling and making minor repair on equipment. - Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor. Competencies for the Job Ability and skills Ability to read and comprehend machining instructions, blueprint, process sheet, or layout on workpiece to determine machining required, etc. Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
