Job Description:

Ariens Company is seeking a self-starting, motivated Machine Operator to operate outdoor lawn/snow equipment machines while following set standards.

Positions available on all 3 shifts.

THE DAY TO DAY…
Safe operation of multiple style of mowing/snow blowing machine and tools Live and promote the Ariens Core Values and 15 PrinciplesComplete required paperwork (daily safety checklists, test incident reports, and others as required by work center) Proper operating techniques that do not cause machine damage and/or excessive unit wear (Customer Representative Testing) Perform normal machine inspection per owner's manual and work with technicians to assure normal maintenance is performed Operate machine or tool per owner's manual and according to test request Assist team members in other areas to meet daily operational goals Ability to problem solve effectively

THE QUALIFICATIONS…
Ability to communicate effectively on test machine operation/issues Working knowledge of Ariens/Gravely equipment operation and use Capable of performing basic troubleshooting and adhering to standard work Capability to lead teams in Continuous Improvement projects Ability to clearly communicate with and provide training for Seasonal Test Operators and entry level test operators.

THE WORK ENVIRONMENT…
Required to walk, sit, and/or stand for 8+ hours a day Must be able to use hands to operate test machines in their normal environment Able to lift up to 35 pounds at varying frequencies Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (hearing protection, eye protection and safety shoes) Desire for personal development and growth Ability to work effectively as part of a team

JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Elections Equipment
Assurance Tester works as part of a team to provide quality assurance testing of voting equipment. This position supports the mission of the Office of the Secretary of client to ensure secure and fair elections in Georgia.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follows assigned standard operating procedures concerning the testing and documentation of each step
  • Reading, interpreting, and applying technical data
  • Performs quality assurance tests on various components of the voter election system
  • Collaborates with the Elections Systems & Data team regarding testing results, delay in testing, or other issue that may affect the project
  • Actively tests equipment and systems to identify errors or defects and ensure that all units meet specifications set forth in testing criteria
  • Ensures all elections equipment is thoroughly tested and stored securely before, during, and after testing each unit
  • Provides written documentation of system test pass or fail and reason/error code
  • Using an asset/inventory management system to identify and track products that have been accepted

  • Follow established chain of custody procedures in accordance with legal requirements and any additional Elections Division policies
  • Collaborates with the Elections Systems & Data team regarding testing results, delay in testing, or other issue that may affect the project
