Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

* Field Engagement Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive approach to educate and train Financial Advisors about the full suite of solutions available to their business owner, founder and executive relationships across Morgan Stanley and select third-party strategic partners

Qualifications
* Minimum 15 years of coverage and execution experience in investment banking or capital markets

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $195,000 and $275,000 year at the commencement of employment. We are looking for a senior technical, hands-on specialist to handle the coordination of testing and release process for the Fixed Income pricing and risk modelling libraries and reference data. This is a challenging and high-profile role which spans the end-to-end software development cycle (SDLC) - including managing source code branches, preparing and delivering release candidate builds into testing, and working with QA, IT, trading desk strategists, and production support teams through the test cycle to sign-off, integration into consumer applications, and release. Located in New York, this role is a critical point of contact for desk strategists, technology and QA colleagues in that timezone, maintains continuity of SDLC activities in Follow the Sun model in a global release management team with colleagues in India and London.
The successful candidate will also help with improving our automated build, release, integration and testing infrastructure covering the entire SDLC across several million lines of C++, Java, and Scala source code. This will include configuration of Jenkins jobs, source code management tooling, and supporting trading desk strategists' use of development environment.
Most of the Fixed Income portfolio is valued and risked using these pricing and risk modelling libraries, which are used by many varied applications throughout the firm and have multiple inter-dependencies. This requires that we build the libraries in a consistent manner on multiple different platforms, and integrate them into the varied application landscape, which is itself constantly changing. This is an Associate level position within the Corporate Treasury & Capital Planning Job Family which is responsible for planning, managing, forecasting and optimizing capital, liquidity and funding resources; governance oversight of Treasury and Capital Planning; setting frameworks, policies and guidelines for appropriate management of these resources; managing regulatory deliverables and exams; managing CCAR/Capital Stress Testing process.

What you'll do in the role:
* Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
* Responsible for both individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging knowledge of Finance functional area, tools and/or products
* Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls
* Act as a culture carrier; embody the Firm's values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards
* Support internal stress testing preparation and production activities at the Firm's US Banks
* Perform strategic capital and financial analysis across the Firm's various legal entities
* Assist with drafting policies and procedures
* Assist in the production and coordination of presentations for Firm and Bank senior management and steering committees
* Assist with capital planning and stress testing automation and process enhancements, including internal controls, review and challenge, and governance initiatives

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
