Pros of working at Equity Residential

I love Equity’s #oneteam, take educated risks, do the right thing, philosophy. The organization hires overachievers from diverse backgrounds and keeps us challenged. The teams have been fantastic.

Cons of working at Equity Residential

There is near-constant understaffing and, though touted as a benefit, I have experienced little work/life balance, frequently working 10-14 hours a day to offset understaffing and meet important deadlines.

Equity Residential Benefits

The benefits are pretty terrific - if not slightly reminiscent of coal towns and company stores. I receive a decent rental discount, half of which is taxed, reasonably priced health insurance, an HSA, a 401k match up to 4%, stock purchase plan, discounts on car and renters insurance, all of which are deducted from my biweekly paycheck.
