How you will make an impact
Develop, implement and monitor a “Cost Savings Program” that works in conjunction with the Erickson Senior Living Communities building control system.
Ensure that plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling systems are operating at peak efficiency for each level of demand.
Provide training for maintenance, engineering, and grounds employees so that each employee has a full understanding of the equipment and systems that they will be operating and maintaining
Ensure that the Communities facilities are in compliance with established federal, state, and local regulations.
Develop the annual budget for Maintenance, Engineering, and Grounds.
Review monthly financial statements for accuracy and be able to identify variances between actual and budgeted results.
Provide beautifully landscaped grounds.
Utilize maintenance, engineering, and grounds employees and resources as effectively as possible. Outsource services if more cost-effective as long as customer service quality is not compromised. Remain good stewards of our financial resources by ensuring that value is added when costs are incurred and that assets are secure and well maintained.
What you will need
Minimum of 7 relevant experience in a Facilities Management and supervising staff capacity with a strength in Mechanical, Electrical, Life Safety and Fire Protections Systems.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in management required.
Health care experience is a plus with strengths in the Environment of Care.
Experience with a CMMS is required.
Within 1 year of hire: AFE Certified Professional Maintenance Manager (CPMM), EPA 608 Universal certification, NFPA 70E certification, and OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification.
Valid State driver's license. This license must be maintained as a condition of employment.
Must possess or be able to obtain prior to starting, a current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner's Certificate indicating successful completion of a D.O.T. Physical Examination. This certificate must be maintained as a condition of employment.

Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Safety and Security, the Security Officer will be responsible for performing the security and surveillance duties at Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads. The Security Officer will provide monitoring and maintenance of the perimeter security, building entrance and egress areas used by Goodwin Living staff and residents, as well as the parking facilities, patrol the interior of the building perimeter, maintain safety and security standards under emergency conditions, communicate orally and in writing, complete reports of security operations, perform non-routine assignments, and non-urgent maintenance duties after maintenance hours.
The pay for this position is $22/hr
Job Duties:
Monitoring of security stations, operating and maintaining security equipment.
Provision of security services through enforcement of Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads policies and procedures.
Tasks to be completed by Security Officer.
C1. Provide security services as directed for any special events, including setting up of “No Parking” signs, conducting traffic, and parking, etc.
C2. Assist in delivering / escorting emergency vehicles to building entrance where needed (when resident needs to be transported to Hospital).
C3. Understand the Fire System to perform the following operations when system sounds:
a. Reset system.
b. Report supervisory troubles on the system to Maintenance Staff
c. Restore / secure any activated pull stations
Provision of emergency and other services on weekends, holidays, and at other times when staff who normally perform these duties are not present.
Patrolling the interior of the secure perimeter and inspection of the facility.
Communication (oral and written and record-keeping) for Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads security operations.
Qualifications:
Previous Security experience required
Demonstrated knowledge of standard security practices
Demonstrated ability to operate telephone and surveillance systems
Demonstrated ability/technique for sound decision making in emergency situations
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills for observation and documentation of incidents / investigations
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.

About the Position
This position is primarily responsible for outreach, planning, and coordination with Goodwin Brain Health partners to advance awareness and utilization of the StrongerMemory program. Partners include outside organizations as well as Goodwin Living campuses and service lines. This position will also advocate and educate on additional brain health habits by participating in education efforts and leading StrongerMemory social media efforts Outreach Coordinator will also serve as the main contact for StrongerMemory partners and will coordinate necessary trainings and resources.

Job Duties
* Leads StrongerMemory inforomation sessions with community partners.
* Coordinates and leads training for facilitators on the various methods of rolling out StrongerMemory.
* Networks within the community and nationwide to promote StrongerMemory and brain health practices to new groups.
* Responsible for the collection, tracking, and management of data related to participant and facilitator program satisfaction and utilization.
* Assists with updating StrongerMemory materials and contributes to Facilitator resources including the monthly newsletter and monthly Facilitator calls.
* Collaborates with other agencies/entities such as LeadingAge, Village Network, George Mason University, the Dementia Friendly initiatives and local resources to provide programming and information on StrongerMemory and brain health.

Qualifications
* Associate's Degree required in Social Work, Healthcare, Community Health, Communications, Psychology, or related field OR must have 3 years of experience working in healthcare or community outreach.
* Must be proficient with computers; including Microsoft Word, Excel, Canva, and Zoom.
* Must be able to do occasional travel to outreach events and conferences in the Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland region.

About the Position
As the Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor, you will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive recreation program for the Health Care Center, The Terrace, and Assisted Living departments. This program includes all aspects of recreation: creative, intellectual, physical, service, social and spiritual. You will also be responsible for the supervision of the recreation coordinators on Assisted Living and the Health Care Center.

Key Duties
* Develops and coordinates recreation programs including in-house entertainment, birthday parties, trips, educational programs and classes, special events, etc.
* Coordinates and monitors the documentation requirements for both the state and federal government, including assessment, MDS, care plans, progress note and service plans.
* Solicits resident suggestions for programming.
* Oversees program arrangements to ensure room, audiovisual and other needed or requested equipment for the success of programs.
* Develops and posts event information via calendars, flyers and newsletter articles.
* Assists and/or works with other staff members on special projects/programs.
* Encourages resident and volunteer participation in programs.
* Develops and maintains resource information for programming and documentation.
* Monitors recreation supplies and equipment to ensure adequate availability and proper functioning.
* Meets regularly with staff to foster communication and teamwork.
* Develops and submits budget for overall recreation program; monitors expenditures for compliance with budgetary guidelines.
* Tracks all programming in the HCC/AL/Terrace based on the 7 Dimensions of Wellness.
Job Requirements
* Must have certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
* Must have Bachelor's degree in recreation related field from an accredited college or university.

Job Requirements
* Must have 3 years experience in maintenance of food service equipment in a commercial kitchen including steam ovens, dishwashers, ice machines, grills, etc.
* Must have 3 years experience in maintenance in the areas of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC.
* Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such an action.
* Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, patients, and visitors.
* Must be generally familiar with gasoline and electrical motors, electrical wiring, heating equipment, plumbing and refrigeration equipment.

The Training Specialist works in close collaboration with the Senior Director of HR to develop, market, and facilitate training programs, including ownership and optimization of existing programs, including Goodwin Living Orientation (GLO). In addition, the Training Specialist oversees training logistics conducive to learning such as booking space, coordinating catering, room set-up, testing audio/visual, materials and handouts are ready for each training session.
Main Job Duties:
Organize, present and facilitate bi-weekly Goodwin Living Orientation (GLO) sessions, including, but not limited to, reserving meeting space, creating the annual GLO calendar, scheduling presenters, presenting materials on GL policies and procedures, Corporate Compliance, Harassment, and filling in for other presenters, as needed.
Conduct needs assessment to inform development of training programs.
Develop and facilitate training programs based on organizational needs.
Create training schedules, track and create reports on outcomes of training and maintain training records in ADP.
Plan, deliver, and assign online training, including Relias courses.
Attend seminars and meetings to learn new training methods and techniques and use the knowledge to prepare and coordinate future training sessions.
Advertise and promote training programs.
Recommend training materials and methods, order and maintain in-house training equipment and facilities.
In an administrator capacity, oversee Relias Learning Management System (LMS).
Ensure training programs adhere to regulatory and organizational requirements.
Conduct training needs analysis to identify skills gaps and training requirements through various methods like surveys, interviews, and performance data analysis.
Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback mechanisms and performance metrics.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including leaders, managers and subject matter experts, to align training with organizational objectives.
Partner with HR leadership on coaching and development situations by identifying/recommending training for upskilling or remediation.
Provide input to training budget and manage expenses to stay within budget.

About the Position
The RN Supervisor is primarily responsible for the planning, coordination, and direction of Health Care Center Assisted Living and Memory Care on a designated shift to provide and maintain a high level of quality resident care. At Goodwin Hospice, we're seeking a Social Worker who will be responsible for providing hospice social work services as part of the interdisciplinary team's plan of care to meet the goals and needs of patients and their families at end of life; assisting in effective transition management for hospitalized patients; and assisting in the implementation of advance care planning.

* Assists in admissions to hospice team and communicates initial assessment to hospice team.
* Offers direct social work interventions to patients and their families and provides appropriate measures for helping in their personal adjustment to end of life issues.

Evaluates residents, under physician referral, with swallowing and communication disorders. Develops effective treatment plans and obtains approval for services from referring physician. * Effectively communicates with the physician, nursing, and other team members to relay resident's progress with treatment, through accurate treatment notes, progress reports, fourteen (14) day and monthly re-evaluations, and discharge summaries per the Rehab Department's policies and procedures and Medicare guidelines. Copies progress note to the IDT record.
* Coordinates resident's treatment with nursing staff, dietary department, occupational, and physical therapists.
* Reports changes in the resident's medical status to the charge nurse for communication with the Physician. Documents changes in IDT notes per department policy.
* Participates in care plan meetings and discharge planning for patients on caseload, as assigned during the Friday care plan meeting. Monitors the care plan list and gives a report to the therapist going to the care plan, if not assigned to attend, for all patients on caseload.
* Maintains accurate billing records of treatment minutes for PPS billing, units and treatment codes for Medicare B billing, and per facility protocol for Managed Care clients.

* May be required to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, and etc. up to 25 lbs. throughout the workday, getting assistance when needed is a must!
