The Contracts and Legal Operations Manager plays a key role in supporting the Office of the General Counsel in advancing Erikson's legal, compliance, and operational priorities. Reporting to the General Counsel, withing the Office of the President, this position is responsible for implementing and managing the institution's contract management system and processes; coordinating contract administration from start to finish; and providing administrative, research, and operational support for legal, policy, governance, and compliance matters. The Manager works collaboratively across departments to promote operational efficiency, institutional accountability, and adherence to policies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities Contracts Management
Implement, manage, and maintain Erikson's contract management system and centralized contract repository.
Serve as the Contract database administrator and champion, overseeing the end-to-end contracting process, including intake, review, routing, approval, execution, and recordkeeping.
Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports related to contract activity, compliance, and processing times.
Support drafting, negotiation, review and advancement of contracts, amendments, addenda, and standard templates under the direction of the General Counsel.
Assist in creation of standardized template library.
Coordinate internal workflows to ensure timely approvals, adherence to institutional policies, and compliance with legal and financial standards.
Provide staff training and serve as a primary resource on contracting procedures including competitive bidding, RFPs, and contracting requirements and best practices.
Legal Operations & Administrative Support
Provide administrative and operational support to the General Counsel, including document review and management, correspondence, scheduling, and file maintenance.
Assist with research, drafting, and editing of institutional documents, including policies, procedures, Board governance matters, memoranda, and internal guidance.
Support the preparation of materials for Board of Trustees and committee meetings, including resolutions, charters, and minutes.
Help manage and maintain the Office's records, templates, and institutional policy library.
Audit, Compliance & Risk Support
Support audit and compliance activities by organizing documentation, tracking deliverables, and coordinating responses to auditors.
Assist in maintaining compliance calendars and ensuring completion of required institutional filings and certifications.
Help identify and track areas of operational and contractual risk, and support follow-up actions or process improvements in coordination with leadership.
Liaise with Finance, HR, and other departments to ensure consistent application of internal controls and compliance requirements.
Training & Process Improvement
Support development and delivery of staff training on contract management workflows, institutional policies, and compliance practices.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and user experience across legal and administrative processes.
Assist in documenting and refining internal procedures, ensuring clarity, accountability, and institutional alignment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required in relevant field of study; paralegal certificate or related legal or business administration training or experience strongly preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in contract administration, legal operations, or related administrative role.
Demonstrated experience implementing and managing a contract management or similar workflow system.
Strong writing, editing, and research skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise discretion with confidential information, and work collaboratively across departments.
Familiarity with government grant agreements, public-sector governance and compliance environments a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat, and contract or document management systems.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
The Instructional Designer will collaborate with faculty and other subject matter experts in the course mapping, design, development, and implementation of high-quality online, on campus, and hybrid courses, following Universal Design and Backwards Mapping frameworks. This role involves applying instructional design, adult learning, and learning science principles, leveraging educational technologies, to ensure that courses meet the institution's academic standards and goals.
Under the leadership of the Director of Instructional Design & Development, implement the following instructional design and development components:
Instructional Design & Course Development
Collaborate with faculty and other subject matter experts to map course- and program-level learning outcomes to learning activities, instructional materials, and assessments.
Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-quality online, hybrid, and on-campus courses that align with Erikson's institutional standards.
Apply instructional design theory, adult learning principles, Backwards Design, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) frameworks to create inclusive learning experiences that meet the needs of diverse learners.
Develop engaging learning materials, including videos, presentations, handouts, interactive activities, and assessments, using a variety of educational technologies.
Quality Assurance, Accessibility & Accreditation Support
Conduct course quality, accessibility, and alignment reviews using established rubrics and standards (e.g., UDL, Quality Matters, WCAG 2.2).
Identify gaps and recommend actionable improvements to enhance instructional effectiveness, accessibility, and learner engagement.
Ensure adherence to institutional policies and regulatory requirements, including ADA accessibility, FERPA, copyright, academic integrity, data governance, and relevant accreditation standards (e.g., HLC, IACET).
Document instructional design processes, decisions, and outcomes to support institutional knowledge sharing and accreditation reporting.
Faculty Development & LMS Support

Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable & Payroll Assistant is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and payroll transactions following institutional policies and regulatory requirements. Assist with year-end 1099 reporting and IRS compliance.
Payroll:
Process payrolls for faculty, staff, adjuncts, and student employees
Initiate each payroll cycle
Review timesheets and payroll authorizations for appropriate signatures and entries; enter them in the payroll system
Complete the payroll cycle and prepare documents for direct deposit as well as any payments related to payroll, including payment of taxes, TSAs, and garnishments
Communicate regularly with employees regarding payroll
Communicate with department heads regarding errors in timesheets
Monitor status of web timesheets and assist employees in learning to use the web time entry system
Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, and preparation of W-2s.
Support compliance with labor laws, IRS regulations, and institutional policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Disbursements Manager, Controller or CFO
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field; bachelor's preferred.

The Midwestern University Clinical Skills and Simulation Center (CSC) invites applications for on-call (part-time) adjunct faculty positions to instruct American Heart Association ACLS and BLS courses, located on the Downers Grove, Illinois Campus.
Adjunct Instructor jobs entail creativity and the ability to follow standard AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) / BLS (Basic Life Support) curriculum. The instructor should have practical experience in performing the skills taught and the ability to communicate the skills to students in a clear and precise manner.
Duties and responsibilities:
Competent in effective delivery of AHA ACLS information and materials
Competent in effective delivery of AHA BLS information and materials.
Courses will primarily be geared toward Midwestern University Healthcare Programs where ACLS and/or BLS will be required curriculum for graduation of several programs.
Instructors must be able to adapt their teaching to the level of the learner in a compassionate professional manner.
Courses are scheduled periodically throughout the year - must be reliable.
Pay: ACLS = $45 hr.; BLS $30 hr.
Minimum Qualifications:
American Heart Association ACLS / BLS Instructor in good standing (in one or all courses) and affiliated with a current Training Center.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Graduate from an accredited program in your designated certification as an E.M.T, Paramedic, R.N., Respiratory Therapist, Physician Assistant, M.D., or D.O.

Reporting to the General Counsel, withing the Office of the President, this position is responsible for implementing and managing the institution's contract management system and processes; coordinating contract administration from start to finish; and providing administrative, research, and operational support for legal, policy, governance, and compliance matters. The Manager works collaboratively across departments to promote operational efficiency, institutional accountability, and adherence to policies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Contracts Management
* Implement, manage, and maintain Erikson's contract management system and centralized contract repository.
* Serve as the Contract database administrator and champion, overseeing the end-to-end contracting process, including intake, review, routing, approval, execution, and recordkeeping.
* Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reports related to contract activity, compliance, and processing times.
* Support drafting, negotiation, review and advancement of contracts, amendments, addenda, and standard templates under the direction of the General Counsel.
* Assist in creation of standardized template library.
* Coordinate internal workflows to ensure timely approvals, adherence to institutional policies, and compliance with legal and financial standards.
* Provide staff training and serve as a primary resource on contracting procedures including competitive bidding, RFPs, and contracting requirements and best practices.
Legal Operations & Administrative Support
* Provide administrative and operational support to the General Counsel, including document review and management, correspondence, scheduling, and file maintenance.
* Assist with research, drafting, and editing of institutional documents, including policies, procedures, Board governance matters, memoranda, and internal guidance.
* Support the preparation of materials for Board of Trustees and committee meetings, including resolutions, charters, and minutes.
* Help manage and maintain the Office's records, templates, and institutional policy library.
Audit, Compliance & Risk Support
* Support audit and compliance activities by organizing documentation, tracking deliverables, and coordinating responses to auditors.
* Assist in maintaining compliance calendars and ensuring completion of required institutional filings and certifications.
* Help identify and track areas of operational and contractual risk, and support follow-up actions or process improvements in coordination with leadership.
* Liaise with Finance, HR, and other departments to ensure consistent application of internal controls and compliance requirements.
Training & Process Improvement
* Support development and delivery of staff training on contract management workflows, institutional policies, and compliance practices.
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and user experience across legal and administrative processes.
* Assist in documenting and refining internal procedures, ensuring clarity, accountability, and institutional alignment.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required in relevant field of study; paralegal certificate or related legal or business administration training or experience strongly preferred.
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in contract administration, legal operations, or related administrative role.
* Demonstrated experience implementing and managing a contract management or similar workflow system.
* Strong writing, editing, and research skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise discretion with confidential information, and work collaboratively across departments.
* Familiarity with government grant agreements, public-sector governance and compliance environments a plus.
