The Clinical Pharmacist assists the Director of Pharmacy and the Pharmacy Supervisor in the planning, supervision and control of all activities of the Pharmacy department in support of the goals and objectives of their facility and the Dignity Health Hospital's Mission and Vision. The Clinical Pharmacist is also responsible for assuring that all of the day to day activities for the provision of pharmaceutical care at Bakersfield Memorial is carried out in full accordance with all Federal and State laws, rules and regulations. The Clinical Pharmacist assists the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Supervisor in the input of orders, supervision and control of all clinical activities of the Pharmacy Department in support of the goals and objectives of their facility and Dignity Health's mission and vision. Job Requirements Minimum Qualification: A minimum of three years as a hospital pharmacist, with at least two years of experience in either leadership or supervisory capacity. Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications. Residency preferred. Good working knowledge of a unit dose system, an IV admixture program as well as TPN and nutrition issues. Must possess good management abilities, which include proficiency in office skills. Current license as a registered Pharmacist in the State of California Preferred Qualification: Completed a residency in infectious disease, and/or obtained infectious disease board certification, and/or 3 plus years experience working in antibiotic stewardship and willingness to obtain board certification upon hire.
