**Job Summary and Responsibilities** The telemetry monitor technician/observer is an employee who is responsible to critically monitor/observe the cardiac rhythms of multiple patients on the cardiac monitor. In this role, the employee is responsible to promptly report any rhythm changes by communicating to the appropriate registered nurse with escalation until a confirmation response is received. The employee is to maintain telemetry box equipment and count and confirm that the identified telemetry box in use on the patient matches that on the cardiac monitor. The employee prints rhythm strips and is competent in rhythm analyses. The telemetry monitor technician/observer also functions in the role of a hospital unit clerk (HUC). As the Unit Clerk, she/he provides/displays excellent communication ability with patient families, patients, visitors, all hospital employees, and persons whom they encounter to ensure questions are answered or escalated for a response. She/he serves as a unit receptionist and welcomes visitors, pleasantly directs them, responds to and coordinates phone communications, orders and monitors clerical supplies/inventory and forms, and cleans work areas. Employees are responsible for timely completion of unit competency assessments, annual safety review, maintenance of continuing education units if applicable and as required by hospital policy. In addition to listed major responsibilities, the telemetry monitor technician/observer/ Unit Clerk may be assigned other duties.

About This Position
Major responsibilities are listed, however, at any time the Clerk Receptionist may be assigned other duties. The major duties are as follows: Handle incoming calls and direct them as necessary. Register and pre-register outpatient Imaging Services exams. Ensure insurance authorizations have been obtained for Imaging Service exams when needed. Schedule Imaging Service appointments, coordinating exams as necessary. Inform and educate patients on preparations for scheduled exams. Enter Order using the Meditech system. Take payments and set up payment contracts when necessary. Copy and distribute cardiovascular reports. Gather adequate information for the process to release films and reports.

Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Medical Office Representative II at our Dignity Health Medical Foundation clinics, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you'll be the first to greet and prove excellent customer service to our patients, physicians and other visitors. You will be the primary phone contact for incoming calls to the clinic and effectively communicate and distribute all messages.

Some of your daily activities will include:
Collecting and updating demographics and insurance information
Verification of health plan eligibility
Taking complete and accurate messages
Scheduling mutually acceptable appointment times utilizing an electronic practice management system
Performing other clerical duties as needed and requested to support daily clinic operation goals, bench marks, and quality patient care initiatives per departmental guidelines
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Six (6) month's experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Office Receptionist preferred; or an equivalent amount of experience in a high-volume customer service role in another industry/environment; or 6 months experience as a Phone Receptionist or Health Information Associate within Dignity Health Medical Foundation.
High School diploma or equivalent
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are essential.
Keyboarding skills and the ability to utilize computer equipment and software are required as is experience with other types of standard office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with an electronic practice management system is preferred.
Experience with multi-line phones/ACD phones preferred. Medical terminology preferred.
