Your key responsibilities
Translating complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $142,600 to $261,500. **The opportunity**
The Strategic Procurement Advisor (SPA) creates and drives strategic relationships with client procurement teams, specifically the CPO, to positively position EY for competitive and sole source revenue generating opportunities and other account expansion activities. The SPA develops relationships with client procurement, at strategic and tactical levels as required, to become the "go-to EY resource" for influencing client procurement. By positively influencing client procurement teams, the SPA will assist the Global Client Services Partner (GCSP), Client Executive (CE), and other Service Line and Sector leaders to better understand the client procurement organization, its processes and nuances, and bridge gaps in communication required to successfully close new business opportunities. Sample activities for the SPA include face-to-face relationship building opportunities with clients including C-level client roles, participating in account planning workshops, virtual networking with client procurement teams and timely introductions of new offerings throughout the client ecosystem leveraging client procurement introductions. With a focus on the most complex deals and/or business situations, the SPA will collaborate with the Pursuit & Commercial Excellence (P&CE) teams, account teams, CEs, and GCSPs to support new and existing key client relationships. A key element of the SPA role is to have the ability to thrive in new and unfamiliar environments, as each client situation is different, and navigate the client's behavior and tactics to drive business development through strategic influence of client procurement. **Your key responsibilities**
+ Responsible for collaboration with P&CE leaders, GCSPs and account managers to help develop a plan that prioritizes accounts and opportunities where SPA's services can help to drive revenue and improve profitability through client procurement relationships
+ Leads efforts with account teams to develop and execute negotiation strategies and activities necessary to achieve revenue growth with new and existing client accounts. The salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $202,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a comprehensive US health, welfare and well-being benefits strategy that supports employee and partner engagement, retention, and overall organizational performance; monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to ensure programs remain competitive and compliant

Qualifications:

What you'll do
As a Senior Consultant within the Multistate Tax Services group, you will be a valuable member on tax engagements and provide state tax consulting and compliance services to a diverse client base in various industry sectors. You will continue to grow your technical knowledge in state taxation by working on large complex tax projects, and have access to exceptional resources and continue to develop your supervisory and leadership skills. Responsibilities will include:
+ Performing a detailed technical review of partnership and corporate state tax returns and work papers with attention to multistate tax issues such as apportionment, state modifications, nexus, unitary filings, and flow-through taxation.
+ Coordinating with an in-house tax preparation team within Deloitte and with the clients tax department.
+ Performing detailed review of estimated payment and withholding calculations and related filings.
+ Researching state tax legislation and assisting with impact on compliance.
+ Assisting with various tax consulting projects including research and writing projects related to tax planning, restructuring, due diligence, audit defense, and accounting for income taxes.
+ Assisting with engagement workflow management and supervising tax consultants and interns on assigned engagements.
The Team
Deloitte's Multistate Tax Services (MTS) group is the largest State and Local Tax (SALT) practice in the United States with more than 1,000 professionals nationwide. Our Multistate Tax professionals include former state tax auditors and administrators, industry personnel, tax practitioners, accounting specialists, and technology personnel with numerous years of multistate tax experience. Collectively, our team has significant experience with the requirements and nuances of jurisdictions in all 50 states. Our specific services include state income and franchise tax, indirect tax, business restructuring, credits and incentives, sales and use tax outsourcing, excise tax, property tax, state strategic tax review, and state tax controversy.

Required
+ Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 - 3 days per week
+ 3+ years' experience in state income and franchise tax
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
