The majority of our students are located in California, with in-person tutoring opportunities in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, and Los Angeles, but this position can be remote, work from home. The tutor in this position will assist students one-on-one in preparing for college by readying them for the AP exams and mentoring them through their overall high school academic journey. We call our tutors Academic Mentors because we prioritize the holistic development of each of our students. All applicants should be passionate about working with youth and should have previous experience tutoring, teaching, and/or coaching. Job Requirements Prior experience tutoring or teaching high-level Physics, AP Physics 2 or higher, as well as math through AP BC Calculus Candidates must be based in and able to consistently work within the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) to align with student schedules and real-time support needs. Bachelor's degree. Available part-time. Tutoring usually occurs on weekday evenings (after 3 pm) and/or on weekends. Typical work schedule is Sunday-Thursday. Assist by giving suggestions on proper golf course etiquette. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the storage areas and golf cart fleet at all times. Responsible for marshaling carts in the staging area and assigning golf carts to players so the golf carts can be tracked and verify they are rented. Responsible for assisting golfers after their round by cleaning clubs, delivering them to their cars as needed and checking in the golf carts. Responsible for maintaining club storage areas and cart barn clean and in order with clubs (rental, member, etc.), equipment, etc and in proper areas. Report any damage to clubs or equipment immediately to Golf Shop. Responsible for maintaining the practice areas so they are set-up and continually supplied (ie range balls, etc.) and in order for daily usage. Maintain area outside pro shop so that it is uncongested, neat and debris free. Responsible for assisting and coordinating services with other golf operations staff such as range attendants, cart attendants, marshals/starters, etc. as necessary to ensure seamless and efficient services to Members/Guests takes place. Responsible for seeing that daily assignments is completed in their respective areas, to meet Club standards and as communicated in the Star Service FOCUS expectations (ie orderly/organized work areas, straighten/arrange entry area, straightening/stocking of golf shop, etc.). Assist fellow Employee Partners, Members and guests to ensure delivery of the 3 steps of service without being directed. Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team. Notify supervisor of Member/Guest complaints at the time they occur. Rectify, practicing service recover, any complaints as soon as possible. Must be able to interact with Members/Guests professionally, helping them with changes and last minute requests as needed. OTHER ACCOUNTABILITIES Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club's operation, it may be necessary that each Employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employees are expected to help you.
