ESPEC North America company history timeline

1947

Founded in 1947, ESPEC Corp. has been a global market leader in manufacturing scientific instruments and environmental testing chambers.

1974

Year operations started: 1974

1983

Espec North America (ENA) has sold and manufactured environmental test chambers in the United States since 1983.

ESPEC NORTH AMERICA was established as our first overseas subsidiary in 1983.

1991

Founded in 1991 in Denver, Colorado, Qualmark established itself in the field of accelerated stress testing equipment by developing and patenting high-performance HALT HASS technologies.

1996

The 1996 Beijing ESPEC Group Environmental Testing Equipment Expo is staged.

2001

ESPEC KOREA was established in 2001.

2014

In March 2014, ESPEC Test Equipment (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., which is fully funded by ESPEC, began operations.

2015

In 2015, Qualmark acquired the HALT HASS assets of Chart Chambers, launching the REAL Chambers Company and product line.

2016

After more than 25 years becoming North America’s leader in HALT HASS test equipment, in 2016 Qualmark was acquired by ESPEC Corp.

2018

Stock Listings: 1st section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange Net Sales: 44,069 million yen / ~ US$398 million (consolidated, Mar 2018) Number of Employees: 1,488 (consolidated, Mar 2018)

Although acquired by ESPEC Corp, Qualmark remained a wholly owned subsidiary, eventually merging with ESPEC North America Inc, and becoming a product line of ENA in 2018.

2019

The first hybrid HALT chamber EQ model combining ESPEC’s non-nitrogen mechanical refrigeration and Qualmark-patented repetitive shock vibration was launched in 2019.

2020

In 2020, Qualmark was officially rebranded and launched as ESPEC’s exclusive Reliability Test Technology product line.
