Program Summary Natchaug's Joshua Center Programs treat children as young as six and as old as 17 who are struggling with psychiatric or substance abuse issues, but do not require inpatient care. Services Include: Comprehensive assessment, which may include: Comprehensive aftercare planning, family, group, and individual therapy, occupational and creative rehabilitation therapy. Natchaug Hospital provides transportation from school to the Joshua Center Program, and then to the student's home. Job Summary Lead Behavioral Health Clinician works in coordination with interdisciplinary teams to organize, prepare, and deliver evidence based clinical services in the Child/Adolescent partial hospitalization program. Clinical services include individual, group and family therapy. Maintains ethical principles and professional standards of practice in adherence to the discipline's professional code of ethics. Assumes leadership responsibilities as assigned by clinical leadership. May assume clinical oversight of daily operations in the absence of Program Manager. Key responsibilities of Lead Behavioral Health Clinician: Conducts a comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment and establishes a care plan, as appropriate. Highlights Department: Urgent Care Middletown Hours: 38.00 per week Shift: Shift 1 The Radiology Coordinator supervises, coordinates and oversees the daily operations, workflow, customer service and quality control of imaging services within the Urgent Care modality. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provides patient care essential to imaging procedures. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures and in accordance with the health system policies, protocols and standards. Function as a Medical Assistant to room patients; obtain vitals, reconcile medications, and interview patients to identify chief complaints. Provides a high level of expertise to mentor staff/students and problem solving. Perform regular QC checks and coordinate machine maintenance as needed. Perform regular QA checks for each technician. Provide coaching and additional training when necessary. Address and record any errors or incidents with technicians. Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Emergency Department Pharmacist, the Medication History Technician will obtain medication histories through documentation review and patient/family/significant other interviews for patients arriving via the Emergency Department to be admitted to the inpatient units. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Obtain home medication histories by interviewing the patient/family/significant other for patients arriving through the Emergency Department to be admitted to the inpatient units. Utilize the external prescription history, patient's electronic medical record (EMR), and the patient's pharmacy to verify the correct medication history. This includes but is not limited to prescription, non prescription, herbals, and supplements. Compile all of the information obtained to determine a complete medication history including the medication name, dose, frequency, and adherence. Document the correct medication history in the EMR. Positively interacts with patients, other hospital guests, and hospital staff to enhance the quality of service provided. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent CT Pharmacy Technician registration. CPhT is preferred but not required. 1 - 2 years of retail or medication reconciliation experience preferred An appropriate level of understating and training in medical terminology and medication related terms. Current/fluent in pharmacy terminology, medications and dosages. Proficient with using a computer, typing, and organization. Required to concentrate for extended periods of time, provide high output of work on short notice, establish priorities, make quick accurate decisions. Preferred Skills: Be able to prioritize competing demands, work independently, and show flexibility and teamwork. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills to patients and team members.
