Mr. Gorman is Chairman and CEO of Morgan Stanley. Mr. Gorman became CEO in January 2010 and Chairman in January 2012. He joined the Firm in February 2006 and was named Co-President in December 2007. Most recently, he was President of Capital One’s Card division, its largest business, for nine years leading all of the company's consumer and small business credit card businesses in the United States, U.K. and Canada. Before leading Capital One's Card businesses, Ryan led Capital One's Auto Finance business. Ryan joined Capital One in 2002 and held a variety of Executive Vice President leadership positions. Previously, he was a partner at McKinsey & Company, where he specialized in financial services clients with an emphasis on consumer credit and insurance. Ryan received a B.A. in Economics from Williams College and his Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University.
