As our Manager of Inventory Control, you will be responsible for operational functions within the highly complex automated Distribution Center exceeding 745K square feet, operating 7 days per week, 2 shifts per day. The Manager, Inventory Control is responsible for the supervision of the Inventory Control operations and personnel, focusing on achieving defined service, cost, quality, and financial objectives. The Manager, Inventory Control works with the GM to develop strategies and objectives to maximize productivity, service levels, inventory levels and locations and reduce costs for the DC.

As the Assistant General Manager at the Omnichannel Distribution Center (ODC), located in Avon, Indiana, you will be responsible for operational functions within a highly complex and automated Distribution Center exceeding 745K square feet, operating 7 days per week, 2 shifts per day. The AGM is responsible for the supervision of the Inbound, Replenishment, and Order Fulfillment operations, for an omnichannel operation (eCommerce and Retail), focusing on achieving defined service, cost, quality, and financial objectives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by providing direction for receiving, replenishment, and order fulfillment activities, conducting regular performance reviews, and providing feedback to optimize performance and growth.
Implement, in partnership with the GM, the strategic vision and business plan for the DC to achieve the DC's performance objectives, including maintaining staffing requirements.
Manage and adhere to the DC financial budget; provide input and recommendations for budget revisions; and represent the DC in articulating overall performance and expenditures as required.
Lead with agility and manage ambiguity by proactively identifying potential disruptions and anticipated changes, developing contingency plans, and swiftly resolving operational challenges, while ensuring financial objectives are met. Examples include managing sudden spikes in order volume during peak seasons, resolving unexpected equipment malfunctions, and mitigating disruptions caused by supply chain delays.
Coach, train, and develop the team using formal/informal training methods in alignment with Sephora values.
Assist the GM with the evaluation of the effectiveness of the assigned DC and recommend alternatives for work methods, procedures, controls, and staffing to achieve accurate and timely order processing.
Assume responsibility for financial, operational, personnel, process, and service-related objectives to drive continuous improvement and reduce overall cost-to-serve.
Provide high-quality internal and external customer service per company standards, including contracted transportation, supply, and equipment support partners.
Manage and optimize critical DC-related systems, including Blue Yonder WMS, Exacta WES, ProShip software, FRAME, Ferag software, and AutoStore software to ensure seamless operations. Oversee TMS, Material Handling Equipment (Raymond), RF devices, AutoStore AS/RS system, and Ferag Pouch system for optimal performance.
As assigned by the GM, manage, direct, evaluate, participate in, and/or facilitate activities related to capital project initiatives within the ODC.
Supports all Sephora Asset Protection policies and procedures by partnering with the Asset Protection Manager as necessary to address theft and other loss-related activities.
Partner with the Inventory Control Manager to support best practices and ensure inventory accuracy is maintained.
Implement and enforce all Sephora, local, state, and federal safety policies and regulations, including OSHA guidelines. Conduct regular safety audits, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment. Lead safety training programs and promote a culture of safety awareness among all DC employees.
Maintain a flexible work schedule and adhere to the requirement of working any designated shift required per business and operational needs, working up to 50% of your scheduled hours on evening and weekend shifts.

As our Operations Manager you will be accountable for the efficient day-to-day operation of a shift or an assigned department within the Distribution Center. The emphasis is on managing numerous operational activities to ensure the production floor is working in a balanced and productive fashion with respect to operational and service delivery goals.
Your responsibilities include...
Leading the team with operational excellence. In this role you will be responsible for the supervision of other exempt and non-exempt staff within an assigned shift or department including the oversight of safety and housekeeping/sanitation activities and programs. You will achieve success by demonstrating business leadership throughout the organization by using independent discretion to create, and achieve short and long term strategic and tactical plans for the DC guided by broad principles, objectives, and standards.
Drives Results. Own and develops plans for promoting team collaboration and accountability for meeting performance objectives, while building, motivating and leading cross-functional teams across the organization to achieve the objectives of the company. Ensures that direct reports have the support they need to effectively manage their departments through proper coaching and development. Manage the efficient allocation of equipment and labor resources to respective departments to ensure service levels and budgets are consistently met.
Collaborates. Leverages Maintenance, Asset Protection, Human Resources, Finance, and other key support groups to integrate and align efforts across DC's and its functions in retail and e-commerce environments. Develops preventative measures that analyze quantitative, qualitative and trend data and makes decisions based on this data that will positivity impact productivity. Contributes to policy and program development through consistent administration and execution of policies/guidelines that effect daily work activities.
Engages & Inspires. Helps others grow by administering policies/guidelines fairly that directly affect work activities which include counseling associates consistently on performance and behavioral concerns. Successfully role models teamwork and demonstrates a collaborative approach when working with staff, associates and management. Passionately leads others in company safety, performance, state and OSHA rules, policies and regulations to ensure safe working practices. Ensures a strong commitment and active participation in employee engagement strategy and people-oriented culture.

Five to ten years of relevant / related work experience in a distribution center environment.
Previous experience in working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and/or ability to quickly develop a proficiency in such systems as Blue Yonder, Autostore or Pouch Packing.
Ability to quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the production floor to include Inbound, Outbound/Shipping, Dotcom and Inventory Control.
Ability to delegate and develop exempt leaders and lead large teams up to 300 associates
Knowledge of distribution operating systems and all aspects of warehouse, production and logistics and transportation-related activities.
Must be flexible and adaptive to respond to fast paced high-volume environment. Must be able to manage multiple tasks against competing priorities.
Possess proven analytical abilities and interpersonal skills. Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel.
The annual base salary range for this position is $96,390.00 - $107,730.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
