The Specialist, Communications is responsible for managing a variety of internal communications channels and projects. This position plays a key role in keeping Estes employees engaged and informed about company-wide initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders, and in the development of strategic communications that engage our employees around Estes' mission, vision, and values.
Write, edit, and develop compelling content with vivid storytelling and thoughtful framing/positioning for internal company materials such as newsletters, brochures, videos, social media, employee campaigns, internal announcements, and presentations.
Manage, develop, and implement multiple internal communications campaigns and projects simultaneously and measure success through defined metrics' results.
Serve as a liaison and communications consultant to teams and stakeholders across the company to conceptualize communications, define project requirements, implement timeframes, establish messaging, manage production, and measure effectiveness through a variety of tools and tactics.
Maintain content and follow the audit process to ensure all published content is accurate, updated, and published to appropriate audiences.
Manage, develop and implement editorial calendars and all content publishing to digital channels, including Estes' intranet, digital displays and social platforms.
Collaborate with the Employee Engagement and Communications team to produce high quality final products that adhere to Estes brand standards and consistently convey our key messages and culture.
Assist with planning and overseeing logistics, including digital/social media components, for internal events such as employee celebrations and teambuilding events.
Determine and manage budgets and deadlines for assigned projects.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations or English, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background required
3 years of previous experience in internal communications required
Expertise in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required
Knowledge and prior use of SharePoint and digital media, including web, intranet, social, and mobile technologies highly preferred
Strong organization and time management skills required
High critical-thinking skills and ability to position messaging with appropriate methods to engage a variety of audiences preferred
Must be an excellent writer with a strong command and understanding of AP Style required.
Must possess excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation communication skills including the ability to communicate complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way to internal stakeholders

Coaches and counsels drivers and makes decisions relative to performance, up to and including suspension pending investigation and/or termination. Provides performance feedback to Terminal Managers
Dispatches drivers according to customer requests and in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies and procedures.
Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures is critical as position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Performs a variety of complicated tasks in a fast paced environment with tight time constraints. Quality decision making skills essential; erroneous decisions will impact operating results and customer relationships.
Interact with Field Supervision, Line Haul Drivers, Roadside Assistance Coordinators, Operations Planners, District Managers, Regional VP's, and Senior Corporate Leadership team.

The Manager, Enterprise Account Support is a support and development role, accountable for co-managing assigned accounts within Estes Forwarding Worldwide, LLC, in coordination with an Enterprise Account Manager. Prepare Business Reviews in an established cadence (monthly, quarterly, etc.).
Help the EAM monitor account performance by regularly reviewing KPIs and agreed-upon client SLAs.

Responsibilities
The Specialist, Truckload Control Tower Operations, is accountable for the day-to-day relationship with the client and analyzing data to identify trends. This position is also responsible for establishing and maintaining positive, productive customer relations while managing daily resolution of issues. The Specialist, Truckload Control Tower Operations, helps support the Account Leader, Truckload Control Tower Operations in any day-to-day aspects needed, which can include data entry, carrier relationships, or customer reporting and communication.

Assist with monitoring carrier delays and changes, and advise SMEs when other carriers must be utilized within the department to achieve more consistent deliveries and better pricing.
Assist the client in gathering all requested information.
Assist Account Leaders with internal customer-specific duties when needed, including POD verification, BOL generation and distribution, packing list summaries, tracking and tracing support, shipment creation and data entry, scheduling support and TMS status updates.
Ensure all KPIs are being met and exceeded.
Compile data upon request from clients and carriers.
Send out and collect paperwork and documentation to support tracking and tracing needs as fit.
Actively work to further develop business between EFW and the client.
Develop new relationships with assigned Truckload, Drayage, and Expedited accounts through networking and additional opportunity probing.
Build strategic relationships with key contacts at customer organizations to understand opportunities for creating value.
Work collaboratively with the Truckload Services, Drayage, Expedited, and Truckload Control Tower teams at multiple sites and locations to ensure customers' needs and expectations are met.
Complete administrative functions in a timely manner.
Assist with handling transactional complaints and problems in a timely and effective manner.
Maintain a high level of expertise and knowledge of products and services.
Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study, reading business and professional publications, networking, and participation in professional organizations.

Responsibilities
Drives a commercial vehicle safely primarily in our road operation during overnight hours. Terminal to terminal or terminal to a relay point and return to home terminal.
Road operation is Monday - Friday night, and occasional weekend. Drivers are home daily unless unforeseen circumstance arise such as weather.
You may occasionally have to make a customer delivery or pickup.
You may be required to help unload or load freight at a terminal. This includes lifting or pulling freight with dock tools such as pallet jacks, two wheelers or forklifts (PITT OHIO certified employees only).
Securing of freight may be required through strapping or other methods.
Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy.
Comply with all Federal requirements regarding the transportation of Hazardous Materials.
Drive tractor/trailer in all conditions in accordance with federal regulations, normally in periods of driving within hours of service limitations, followed by an off-duty period as required by regulatory requirements.
Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver's logs and other records required by law.
Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
Qualifications
All tractor trailer drivers must have two years of verifiable interstate driving experience (approximate 200,000 miles) or a minimum of one year of verifiable interstate driving experience and a diploma from an accredited driving school that PITT OHIO approves.
Must pass a PITT OHIO driving test administered by an approved PITT OHIO trainer or PITT OHIO designee;
With exception of non-CDL Drivers, must have a hazardous material and tank endorsement or obtain said endorsement within 90 days of employment on their current valid driver's license issued by the State in which they reside;
Must possess only one valid driver's license issued by the State in which the driver resides. A driver who has recently moved from another State must produce a copy of the former license or provide license information for verification from that State. The driver will need to provide information on all previous held licenses for the past 36-month period. If the driver moves, he/she must update his/her address with the Department of Motor Vehicles for that State within 30 days and provide new license to the Safety Department;
Must have no record of a driving license suspension or revocation covering the last 36-month period from any source including the MVR and or any other Driver Performance History report. A suspension for failure to pay and or failure to appear will be considered provided that there was no conviction for driving while suspended during this time period;
Must have no record of citation or conviction for the violations listed below during the past 36-month period from any source including the MVR and or any other Driver Performance History report;
Driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Responsibilities
The Core Services team builds and maintains foundational APIs and reusable backend services that enable key logistics workflows and power customer/vendor interactions. As a Software Engineer II, you will take on larger engineering initiatives with greater independence and technical depth. You'll help design, build, and maintain scalable, event-driven services and integrations, while contributing to the evolution of our platform and engineering practices.

Design and develop backend microservices using Node.js (Moleculer) and Go.
Build and consume RESTful and asynchronous APIs, integrating with both internal services and external third-party systems.
Collaborate with product owners and engineering leadership to break down business requirements into technical solutions.
Write clean, testable, and well-documented code and proactively participate in peer code reviews.
Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines using Jenkins.
Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot services in Kubernetes-based environments using tools such as Datadog.
Own the full lifecycle of service features-from ideation to production support.
Participate in incident response and contribute to system reliability improvements.
Mentor and support junior engineers through code reviews, documentation, and informal guidance.
Document service architecture, workflows, and operational processes.
May be asked to participate in an after-hours on-call support rotation.
Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.

Qualifications
The qualifications listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript in a Node.js environment.
Experience with microservice frameworks such as Moleculer, Express, or Fastify.
Hands-on experience with Go (or solid understanding with strong interest to learn).
Deep understanding of RESTful API design and asynchronous messaging using NATS, SQS/SNS, or Kafka.
Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and services such as S3, EC2, SNS, and SQS; cloud-first development mindset is a plus.
Experience deploying and supporting services in Kubernetes-based environments.
Comfort working with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins preferred) and observability tools like Datadog.
Solid experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
Experience working in Agile development environments and participating in team ceremonies.
Familiarity with modern development practices, distributed systems, and cloud-based infrastructure.
