**Summary:**
The Estimator - Substation prepares cost estimates for renewable energy and utility-owned substations. This role is responsible for creating accurate, cost-competitive, and timely preparation of estimates for the Company's renewable energy and T&D construction business to bid, incorporating knowledge of construction means and methods, costs, and industry principles.
Project scope responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the procurement and installation of temporary construction facilities, project and field management, structural steel, HV bus and fittings, PTs and CTs, arrestors, circuit breakers and switches, concrete foundations, auxiliary AC equipment, and power wiring, cable conveyance systems, static masts and grounding system, SCADA/communication cabling, fencing, pull boxes, transformers, control buildings, engineering services, testing, taxes, contingency, warranties, margin.

Job Description
This position is responsible for generating accurate and timely estimates for reconditioning services offered to all internal and external auction customers. These estimates are to be generated using formats and pricing defined by management.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide accurate reconditioning estimates for body, detail and mechanic (including PSI) services. Estimates will include but not be limited to, commercial, dealer, rental and retail customers as well as any lot or internal damage.
Communicate estimates in required formats (i.e., electronic, email, written, etc.) required to meet all internal and external customer expectations.
Work with Procurement/Purchasing staff to assure accurate pricing of parts and supplies required for estimates.

This position will be responsible for providing cost estimating expertise to support our government clients (DOE, DoD, USACE). Desired candidate has a working knowledge of Environmental Management Programmatic functions related to the DOE. These functions include D&D of nuclear processing facilities, processing of various waste streams from operations, and related environmental management functions at various DOE sites. A multi- disciplinary experience level is desirable to support US Army Corp or Engineers and DoD cost estimating efforts.
This position should have extensive cost estimating experience and be able to provide various types of estimates for varying needs. Estimating efforts may include, but not be limited to, review of cost estimates associated with Baseline Cost Proposals (BCPs), review of contract modifications from the DOE cleanup contractor(s), and development of Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs). Reviews will validate the contractor's estimates for cost reasonableness. The cost estimator will include for the development of LCB (Life Cycle Baseline). These cost estimates will include a wide variety of disciplines and multi-disciplinary experience would be desirable. Review and validation of the Life Cycle Baseline (LCB) cost estimates for quality and reasonableness ranging from stochastic to determinist costs as appropriate is needed for this position. A Body Shop Estimator is responsible for appraising customer's vehicle damage to determine the cost of repair for insurance claims or customer paid repairs. Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimate and expected return of vehicle
Maintain high-quality repairs and minimize comebacks
Conduct spot checks of each completed job for thoroughness and quality
Maintain body shop records by recording repair and replacement actions
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Enhance body shop reputation by providing excellent customer service
Previous automotive experience preferred

Automotive certifications, and or, a bachelors or associates degree a plus
